I would provide a higher rating if the owners were there, the staff are helpful but not as up front about the cost of items. Bought a large rose quartz, did not see 2 price stickers, at the register at point of purchase the cashier should have told me about the price differences before charging me. I figured it out at home after thinking I had been mischarged. Great quality & price even though it has gone up over the years. Be very careful of the prices on things....They have become more new age so they have a more eclectic variety like pendulums. They use to be cheaper when they sold rocks & fossils as a minerals store... But the quality is there!

Wow! These guys are the best! I walked in to see what they do, I walked out with Telescope! Shout out to Harout. This man knows his telescopes! Very thorough explanation of various type of telescopes and what is generally a decent telescope to start out with. Honest and unbiased. Don't go buy garbage from a big box retailer. At the very least have a chat with these guys!

I ordered a $550 telescope on September 30th. On October 3rd I got a call from them that the charge never went through even though I got a confirmation email of the order and I would have to give them my credit card number again. Sadly I did. After several weeks, I tried calling and emailing several times with no reply. When I log into my account it says I have no orders! Then I learned that they are not authorized to charge your card until the item is being shipped. Now they have taken their phone number down from their website but are still taking orders through the site. And they have taken down their Facebook page. Disgusting theives. I have contacted my credit card company to try to have the charges returned to me. How do they sleep at night? Zero or negative stars if possible.

Great, really friendly staff and easy process to follow. Found their software to upload photos to print to be really easy to use and I have no experience with photo printing

The staff at Vancouver Telescope Centre are really knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I walked in the store one day just looking for information about telescopes without any commitment to purchase anything, and they actually took their time to tell me about the different types of telescopes, what things you can see with a telescope, and even where to go to get the greatest views in the area. The store is not massive but they have some telescopes on the shop floor to look at and are able to order in a particular model you’re looking for if not in stock. Since it's an actual storefront, you don't have to worry about buying questionable items off Craigslist or getting stuck with an item you bought online that's not to your expectations. If you buy a telescope at VTC and it's not to your liking you can just bring it right back in and they'll help you find the right one.At VTC they are people driven. They excel and focus on human interaction by helping the individual find the right scope for them. Even if they think they don’t have a scope suitable to your needs, they’ll be honest and tell you. Their service is second to none and they stand behind the products they sell by providing repair and maintenance services for telescopes (If I recall repairs are free for their warranty period and after that for a small fee) versus some of the other retailers that will tell you to contact the manufacturer. Post-sale service is great as well, as they encourage and are happy to answer inquiries via store visits or on the phone.I'm actually really glad that I made the trip to the store for my first telescope; had I not, I would have fallen victim to marketing and purchased a telescope (an entry level scope that will remain nameless) that would have left me sorely disappointed and perhaps turned off of astronomy all together. In fact, as I was leaving the store, I asked about said scope and they explained to me its shortcomings, and while they will sell it for those who adamantly want one, they strongly advised against it.

Great product and great company. Sales rep very helpful on the phone. Listened to my needs, and binoculars I thought would be appropriate. Suggested an alternative that he felt was of equal quality, but a better price. Shipped to me in 2 days. As this was a gift, sales rep stated no problem to exchange if needed. Sent additional package with an added accessory, again, arrived in two days. And the number of options carried and shown online is very impressive.Highly recommend Camera Canada.

I've been coming here for 3 years now. Yes, none of the employees trip over themselves to help you, but I like that. I hate been hounded when I'm just looking around. There is always someone available to help you when you need it and they always have a good attitude. The owner is always willing to chat and be friendly. Prices are reasonable, a little high on some items and good deals on others, remember the prices are all in" which is something I love about the place. Prices are way better than Wolverine

Made an order 4 months ago that could not be fullfill immediatly. Though the stock was available from the manufacturer Canadian Telescopes refuse to send and cancel my order. They send me this message:''With utmost regret, due to our technical issues we won't be able to fulfill your order and create a refund in our system. Please contact the credit card company that you paid your order with and claim for a non-receipt" order. They will contact us and we will approve that the money has go back to your card. Very sorry again for the inconvenience.''AND NOW I SEE ALL THE BAD NOTES LEFT BY CUSTOMERS LIKE ME. BE AWARE OF BAD PRACTICE!"

I made a few online purchases from this store. Customer service is excellent, Stefan from support always answers my questions, suggesting which adaptors to use etc. in a timely manner. Prices are good, they are always the lowest when I research before buying my next piece of gear.
