Gatherall's Puffin & Whale Watch
A wonderful tour company. The staff are very friendly, educational, entertaining, and musical. We saw several types of birds (puffins, murres, auks, gulls, and bald eagles), we were also fortunate enough to be visited by a minke whale and a humpback gave us a blow-hole hello from a distance.They have a great gift shop on site. Booking online was very easy and there’s plenty of parking if you want to drive on the day of your trip. There are also bathrooms on the boat and on site.

A must do tour! The captain and crew were incredible! Wonderful local music, educational and so fun! The puffins and whales were mind-blowing. Loved watching them up close. Highly recommed this tour!

Such an amazing experience! So many puffins, northern gannets, and common murres among others. We saw 5 humpback whales. The staff educated with stories about the area. I would definitely go back. The gift shop had quality gifts to bring home to remember your time in NL. Very few cheap imported items. The area was clean including the restrooms. I felt the length of the trip adequate. I would recommend a rain jacket or poncho as you sail under a numerous amount of birds the probably of getting “bombed” by birds is real. I narrowly missed get hit.

Gatherall's Puffin & Whale Watch
What a great experience today. Our group of 16 braved the cold weather and sea swells and were rewarded with a close up view of a humpback whale that swam around our boat for 30 minutes. The view was breathtaking. Lots of puffins and sea birds. Live music, great commentary about the area and animals we saw.Thank you so much

A very Newfoundland experience, foggy, a little chilly with genuinely warm people.In addition to the boat excursion, there is a little gift shop and snack bar, an excellent spot to wait for your boat ride to start. Parking was easy and plentiful and the restroom facilities were very clean!Bonus we saw whales!

We didn’t see any whales, but I blame the foggy weather. Nice staff (that sang songs for us), clean comfortable boat, and a cool cafe and gift shop to visit after the tour. This is a polished, professional operation.

Had the most wonderful time!!! The crew was fantastic (Liam, James, April, etc). They sang songs and really made it fun. I’ve seen puffins before but nothing comes close to this. It was like being in a planet earth documentary! The puffins were so adorable and we were so close to them. One of the best wildlife tours I’ve ever done, hands down. Thank you so much!

Our tour was on a cool foggy morning and the crew made a point of warning us that you don't always see whales but you will see Puffins by the thousands. The crew kept us entertained with commentary and singing until we reached the offshore Puffin island. As promised there were thousands of Puffins but you needed binoculars to get a close up view. A few minutes later were heard our first whale exhale through its blowhole. The crew directed the captain towards the sound and then humpback whales appeared one after another for about 20 minutes. It was magical.

What a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours.Booking online was very easy! And there is lots of parking onsite. Fresh clean bathrooms before you board and even a small coffee cafe if you desire.Staff were very organized and friendly! Very knowledgeable and entertaining!On this day we saw various birds ,puffins, a bald eagle and a whale!!!The crew were very happy and genuinely made all efforts to show us a great time.Even on a foggy day it was perfect! Bring warm clothes (June) and mittens.Ask about getting Screeched in on the boat!
