RBC Royal Bank

Don’t know what’s the problem with some of the people posting on here. Have conducted business here for about 5 years. Lineups are annoying, but find a bank without one? Good service and nice people. As far as racism is concerned, more than half the staff are non-Caucasian. I’ve never witnessed anything like that. Check your attitude and how you deal with others.

Went in to conduct some banking business and asked the RBC employee to use the washroom. RBC employee stated, “No, we have no public washroom”. I asked why RBC clients could not use a washroom? RBC employee told me to use the KFC washroom across from their location. Completely unreasonable. What large banking location has no washroom for clients to use?

8th st branch, unreal, been a customer for so many years, went with my daughter to assist her in starting her credit, basically shut down on the phone day before we went then day of appt same rudeness, will be looking elsewhere for a bank when my things come up for renewal. Not surprised but disappointed in the way they treated us, I informed my daughter that most places don't do that to you, most places are welcoming and helpful, not the way that appt went!

The auto telephone service is very frustrating...would prefer a real person to answer the phone. We also find the new teller system and personal banking changes extremely impersonal!! This is not client centered banking. Definitely considering alternate financial institutions that keep the client centered.

RBC Branch at 8th Street is running with unskilled employees, need more training to financial advisor, I visited several times at branch but still work is not done from 5 months.

Service was fast and the lady directing the line up was pleasant. However I was disappointed in the customer service rep who decided rudely without my permission to touch and remove the covering on my babys car seat just to bend down and look at her.No social distancing at all even with masks on.Also this was an invasion of our space and our privacy!My child was covered for the extra protection ,touching other peoples things in a public space during Covid is a No No.

Staff seems friendly. But I really do not like the open desk/floor plan.I mean, wasn't it all behind a desk so that no one else could see the screen with your account on it? I mean I doubt anything would happen, but some of the spots you can turn around and see someone else's account screen.also, it makes it seems very dis-organized.*Update above still true but now I would like to add they are always so busy and unable to have the staff to help? I went today was asked by the greeter that it was going to be a really long wait (6 people in front) asked if I could use an ATM instead. I could not be ause I needed a roll of loonies, she gave me a look of I'm sorry" because the wait was going to be ridiculous."

Unbelievable. My wife who is pregnant was here and had to wait for a long time. She eventually got to talk to the lady at the front desk and told her she really needed to use the washroom. The useless piece of skin at the counter told her the washrooms are not allowed for customers, even pregnant ones. Then she made some comment about Covid and and that they’re not a ‘hotel’. We are cancelling all our business and Mastercard accounts tomorrow morning from RBC and switching to HSBC. WAY BETTER SERVICE THERE. Also calling my lawyer tomorrow to follow up, no pregnant women should have to wet herself in public because of stupid rules like this.

Very frustrating group of people. The drive thru atm ate my debit and credit. No sign or anything warning me about this. I go in to speak to someone and they inform me they have no access to the atm and all cards will be destroyed. Why on earth a bank will not have access to their own atm.I wait in line and they give me a temporary debit card which I cant do anything with because it doesnt allow me to use other than atm to withdraw money. But the useless teller reports my card lost and stolen instead of getting me replacement card. So now I have no credit card to use. Such a bunch of useless people. There is a reason why this place has less 2 star reivew
