BMO Bank of Montreal

Very unprofessional and no respect for appointments. Went yesterday and asked about a service and the teller told me it can only be done with a financial advisor and he gave me an appointment for today anytime between 6 and 7. I arrived at 6:20 only to see said financial advisor sitting with a different customer and told me they will be done in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later she comes out to speak to me telling me she can't do this service because her system is down and teller should have known that before giving me an appointment but she can refer me to the responsible team. She asked me to wait 5 more minutes to finish with her other client but I kept waiting until 6:55 so I just left. Don't waste your time going there. An apology and an email sent on my behalf will not give me my time back. She could've easily spent 2 minutes explaining that to me on the phone instead of wasting my time and gas. Thanks again

there is a person there his name is Chiralthis guy is very proffessional staffhe serve you at extreme ,meet your needs , and always goes beyond your expectations .super helpfull person .I recommended to see him and ask him for help once you visit the branch

One of the slowest branch you could imagine. It takes anywhere from 15-20 mins to get to the teller irrespective of the time of the day. There are couple of employees (won’t name them because of banks privacy info) who go above and beyond to help which is the saving grace. I was holding myself for a long time to post a review. But today that was it.

Customer Service agent told us we would get $400 cash bonus when we open new bank accounts at BMO. After fulfilling all bonus requirements we found out 4 months later that we are only entitled to $100 because the type of account was different. I had specifically asked the agent for the account type that would get me $400 cash bonus and was even presented with the brochure that clearly says $400. I immediately closed my account. Very unprofessional. Never again.

Been bmo customer since 2018 and dealt with bmo at three different cities. I had worst experience at this branch not once but twice .Went to open RESP account for my daughter on weekend on Dec 03 2022 The guy (financial advisor) seemed least interested in my business and took 2 hours to open account. First said I can just add my daughter to my son’s existing RESP account. Later on came back and said it is not possible, no explanation provided.I specifically asked him to transfer $1000 from chequing to new RESP account but he kept insisting that I should go and talk to my husband on what kind of investment I want to choose. I never mentioned once that I need to talk to my husband about this ( definitely his made up assumption)Plus attitude was such that he just wanted me to leave as he was least interested. This is for second time I had same experience at this particular bmo . branch .Previously we were dealing with Matthew Facciolo at whitby branch can definitely say day and night difference in customer service/knowledge/ staff attitude between two branches . We loved working with Matthew and now after moving to milton we are having thoughts about moving our account to different bank.P.S This review is just for financial advisors not for branch manager or teller staff . Never had issues with them but the financial advisors are definitely not friendly or knowledgeable.

I went there on may 3rd, there’s only 1 teller, I waited just like everyone else. I wanted to see and print out cheques that I deposited for 2022 and the girl with the glasses was checking for me. She was taking long and seen the lineup grew longer and told me if she can do it later and will call me and let me know. I said okay no problem and she took down my number and I left. But she never called me. She just said whatever to me to get me out quickly to serve other people, OTHER PEOPLE WHO WAITED IN LINE JUST LIKE I WAITED IN LINE! I will go elsewhere

A regular customer at this branch, always friendly and right info is provided by the staff esp Momin khan and the lady in glasses.

Please do not go to this bank. The customer service of one of the male business advisors was appalling. I was sitting in his office whilst he was on the call to another customer, which is unprofessional and not courteous. When he came off the phone he wasn't welcoming and there was no customer service. Instead I was asked for my driver's license and or passport. There was no introduction of himself, or BMO, no smile or greeting. I was warned against going to BMO but I gave it a chance, I was advised right. Very bad vibes, no customer service, no attention, poor representation of the bank, I wasted my time. This bank is allowing money and customers to walk out.customer

Extremely unprofessional and deceptive individuals working at this branch. About a month ago we walked in went to the teller his name is Ahmed Abdulrahman". We requested to close our chequing account. The teller said I am unable to close the account on a weekend but I have your request and I will do it on Monday. This all sounded weird but we trusted him to close our account on Monday. After a month we get no confirmation and going to another branch confirmed account was never closed and they teller at another branch did it. I dont know why Mr Ahmed Abdulrahman lied to us. I presume they get some sort of a negative impact on their performance upon closing an account. Dont expect such scenarios from such a popular bank. Shameful I wouldnt trust this branch."
