I love this company, everyone strives to achieve excellence and is always willing to give support

This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They have horrible build quality and consistently make up excuses and are deceitful. They did not follow through on any deadlines, or warranty check in's and took no ownership for their work. Our 30 day warranty was not addressed for almost 2 years! The workers and customer service also lied about completing work that was never done, now we are responsible to pay out of pocket for their mistakes and untruthful behaviour. We had workers come out, that refused to fix our floors, and fabricated the fact that it was fixed, when it was never touched. The customer service is atrocious, and they will say or do anything to avoid fixing anything or helping you. The last person we spoke with even hung up on us, and were very rude and disrespectful. From day 1 its has been such a headache. It took years to fix anything from the pre-inspection, there have also been countless delays and excuses. I know that I am not speaking for just myself, as our entire building feels the same way as they continue to delay repairs and put off work, and never take any accountability. They seem to make their own rules to whatever benefits them, and have no care for their customers or integrity. I hope nobody else has to deal with what we went through, but unfortunately it seems like this is just all to common for this company and it is evident that they do not care about their reputation, or what is left of it. Giving them a 1 star is being generous to say the least, and this company should be accountable for their actions moving forward!

Poor quality construction material, everything that was installed in my condo was poor quality, the AC unit after 3 years broke due to bad installation (needed to change the whole unit), walls cracks, squeaky floors, paint low quality, bad customer service, they just simply don't care

Multiple issues in the new condo we purchased. Van Mar was responsive and has been dealing with the issues in a professional manner.

Really low build standards. They will build to code and that’s about it. Teaming up with Urban Legend Developments, these two have done a great job of profit gouging buyers in Waterloo region. Do yourself a favour and use a construction company that is passionate about their work, not their bottom line.

Whoever is driving their pick-up trucks sure does not know how to drive. Continuously not signaling while failing at their attempts to weave through traffic during rush hour? Tsk tsk. Could hurt someone and/or their families.
