Great service and fair.

We are just finishing putting in a basement suite with a completely new room added under the sun deck. Because we have an older home the city wanted several changes and clarifications. Pedram always responded quickly and had the updated plans available within one or two days.

I found Builtex via google, which was a pretty big leap of faith, and it turned out excellently. We did a kitchen renovation in a ground floor unit of a 1970's building, including the removal of three walls and the shifting of another wall. Pedram was wonderful to work with, drawings came back to us in quite quickly and he had excellent communication with our contractor to get us the best layout for the space.

In a desperate attempt to find an Engineer late Friday afternoon, and after calling several, Mr. Khorram from Builtex saved me! I needed a fast engineering report for my strata and within a day I had one. It was literally an incredible process with fast, reasonable price and really knowledgeable nice fellow. He was able to address my concerns, explain every thing to me in easy to understand terms, took some pictures, notes, and measurements....and then he thought for a few minutes in silence. The next day he had my report in my inbox...just fantastic and so helpful! I would recommend Builtex Engineering Group to everyone, honest and smart people with lots of knowledge...perfect! I would highly recommend Builtex, specifically Pedram Khorram (structural engineer). My husband and I embarked on an ambitious renovation project and found him by via Google. There is always a risk to hiring someone who isn't personally recommended to you but we were so fortunate to have him as a part of our project. My husband had a lot of his own ideas for the project and Pedram listened carefully and adjusted the plans accordingly. He was honest, courteous, prompt and easy to deal with!

We used Builtex's services when we renovated our home. Given that the house had been built in 1947 we had to make sure we were going to be able to open up the living area, as well as be earthquake safe. I have no doubt that, should the big one hit the Vancouver area that our house will still be standing and able to provide us with some sort of shelter as we have reinforced walls, a lovely beam, and everything is supported properly. Thanks, Pedram, for ensuring our home is safe and sound.
