Boarding house

The landlady has threatened us and harassed us multiple times during our short 2-month stay in her property. An extremely volatile person, who would bang on your door at around midnight, throw out your laundry into the garage, and remove utility (Internet) in a retaliatory manner. She also assured the use of certain amenities in the virtual tour, only to have her backtrack after we’ve moved in. DO NOT TRUST HER. The police have been called to this place multiple times, and they even said to film all interactions with her, since she has made false accusations against us. Not only that, she also made an attack on my racial background, which is appalling. This is an extremely stressful place to live in, not only because of the reasons listed above, but also because the landlady is loud and yells a lot, and can be heard from our unit. We have filed an LTB case against her, and encourage past tenants to do the same, because this is simply outrageous.

What a horrible place ran by lebenese... Largest cash cow of 33 rooms... Nightly and hourly is welcomed... Located in the rich end of Halifax.. this 1820s estate is full of bed bugs.. crack.. robbing rooms... It was good for a few years but.. back to where it started... The Goshen's use this address to launder money.... Why they still own it don't know... Bit it will never be torn down.. probably why.. they want to bulldoze our heritage and erect amonster buiuilding... Like the Lexington..on corner by commons. Robie street. I knew the managers for 15 years

I stayed here about 1/2 months due to the managers the place was a great place to stay.

I have lived in the Marq building for almost a year now and my experience has been incredibly enjoyable because of senior assistant general manager Jasymne. She always ensures my roommates and I are happy, comfortable and safe! If you move into one of the Marq buildings, I guarantee if you asked for Jasymne you will not be disappointed!

they didnt returned my security deposit without any reason.they said you just miss arranged the bedsheet.they are lier.

A great place for any gentleman who needs somewhere to lay their head at night, at an affordable price. I'd recommend only for temporary placement. The rooms are already furnished. Just need a pillow, blanket, utensils, a few personal items and your set. Very easy application and fast placement. You walk in and each door has its own lock. Shared kitchen and bathrooms.

Typical hostel format. I was in a room that could house 8. The place was not very full. I was able to get a bottom bunk. Given that the hostel was pretty empty I got a great price without any of the noise. It was very pleasant not having someone climb to the top bunk. The hostel is in a fantastic location. Super central and walkable. There was ample street parking, but it was a Sunday which means it was all free. Not sure what I would a have done if not. Service was great. Friendly and not overbearing.
