friendly & efficient

Waited for over a month to get a shred-it box with no success. Was continuously told by sales it was a “technical issue with their systems”, after several promises to receive a box within a week we canceled and went with Iron Mountain (a more affordable, user friendly option). The sales advisor confirmed the cancelation yet a technician came every two weeks and argued with me over whether or not we had a shed-it box. Today, I came in to see an invoice for $400 from shed-it. Beyond upsetting, have called their customer service line and it appears none is available to answer the phone. I would not recommend wasting your time on shred-it.Update: I finally got ahold of someone who assured me they cancelled the charges. I received another bill this morning.Update: One year in I still receive invoices from shred-it. I call once a month and am assured every time its taken care of

I worked there for a while.. so poorly managed.. the staff are worked to death, so don’t get upset if they aren’t super friendly when they arrive to service your stops.

If there was a zero I'd of given it. Showed up today as directed because of the small amount we needed done they wouldn't come to me. Loaded my truck with 7 bankers boxes lady up front tells me they can't take the boxes because someone is on vacation and nobody knows how to process. After persuading her that she cant turn away business she sends me around back where no one answers the door. Go to Scotia security shredding. 5 Brown Ave, Dartmouth, NS B3B 1Z7

For picking a residential area at 8 in the morning to shred paper on the side of the road.

My experience with Shred-it was no less than horrible. I inquired about residential shredding and was told there would be approximately a 4 week wait and they would call with a date. I will note they were quick to take my credit card number. After a 4 week period I called to inquire. After several calls and lengthy wait times on hold I was told there is a truck coming Monday"... this was on a Friday and I had not received a call; I had to call them. Monday came...... NO truck! I waited all day! I phoned to inquire and cancel the service as I contacted a smaller local company and they were 1/3 the price and could provide the service the same week.I THEN received an invoice from Shred-it! Again after a very lengthy wait time I confirmed the service was not received and I no longer wish to have Shred-it provide the service. There was no concern or apology for this horrible service. Never will I use or recommend Shred-it to anyone."

We contacted Shred-it for our company's document shredding needs over a month ago. We have still not received our shred box even though we keep being told it is coming within the week. There has never been a communication that they cannot make the install appointment they set, they just keep not showing up and when we follow up on why they didn't show they just tell us they are coming in the next few days and AGAIN don't show. We most recently have contacted them to cancel our arrangement with no response and no attention payed to our needs yet again. Steer clear from this business and find someone better who actually cares about clients. SHRED-IT don't bother asking us to contact you in your response to this review, instead why not try contacting us....
