I truly can’t say enough good about Benjamin and his team at Groon Construction. After exploring repair estimates for a flood in our basement this past summer I was left with a range of assessments and pricing so varied I really didn’t know which way to turn.Benjamin was like a breath of fresh air in a process that was fast becoming confusing and disillusioning. His won me over from the start with his noticeable level of expertise and his focused and genuine interest in finding the source of our flooding before all else. My confidence only increased from there as Benjamin determined the source of our flooding as coming through 2 cracks in the foundation…..then removed drywall on the inside wall to expose both cracks positioned right in the places he’d predicted! As if that wasn’t a good enough start, he even stayed that same day to fix both cracks and create a plan to repair the rest of the flood damage.The remaining repairs - drywall, painting, carpet restoration and outside excavation, began and completed with the upmost care, integrity and attention to detail. Everyone on Benjamin’s team were professional, considerate and truly a pleasure to work with. Throughout this process Benjamin was an obvious presence overseeing the work, co-ordinating schedules and double checking all decisions and estimate revisions before proceeding. The service was beyond expectation and we've been left with a beautifully restored basement, peace of mind and a renewed sense of just how positive an experience like this can be.

We had a great experience with Groon Construction. Before we found Benjamin, we had multiple quotes from the major foundation repair companies in Calgary and came to the realization that they were, for the most part, unqualified to be doing this type of work (no qualifications to speak of). Groon Construction was able to provide a cost effective solution and an engineering report to properly diagnose our issue inside the home while also looking at the exterior grading and providing recomendations.Where it felt like other companies were trying to price gouge us and find issues to add to their quote, Benjamin operates with a level of integrity you would expect from a professional Engineer.Benjamin was able to design a solution for our foundation that gave us confidence we were getting things fixed properly. He was friendly, timely, and very professional. When it comes to a foundation repair, having an engineer assess and design the repair is invaluable and I would highly recommend Groon over any of the big foundation companies in Calgary. It's great to have a trustworthy contracting company that we can use in the future. 10/10.

Ben with Groon Construction was amazing! I called him at 5 PM and the same night he repaired a foundation crack on my home, inspected the remainder of my foundation for cracks, and gave me some sound advice on water ingress into my home. I would strongly recommend Groon Construction.

I had contacted Groon through a mutual friend when we had a foundation issue on a home we were actually in the process of selling. Needless to say it was a bit of an exercise to find qualified help for a horizontal crack on our foundation. A phone conversation with Benjamin helped to understand what options we had, specifically related to our expected discovery. An initial assessment from a structural engineer had led us to believe there was more finishing work required after the foundation repair. Benjamin explained another option that was going to help us reduce the finishing costs, as well as provide an engineered solution. The timeline was also reduced for the overall work so we could get it back onto the market for sale, sooner than originally expected. Benjamin was a pleasure to work with. He guaranteed his work and also signed off on the papers so that a new home buyer would not only have his warranty, but also peace of mind that the work was excellent. All stages were documented and turned over to the new owners when we sold. I would never hesitate to use Groon Construction again and would encourage others to reach out to them for foundation needs.
