JTS Habitat is a company most companies only aspire to be. Right from the beginning when they allowed me to come into the showroom after hours, to the end when both owners personally over saw that the delivery went smoothly and on time. The first class service is a perfect match to a quality product. Eurocave is lucky to have JTS distributing their product in Vancouver.

Eurocave has been a big player in wine storage for decades and honestly, we had never heard of the brand until recently, when a fellow wine enthusiast overseas recommended the brand The reason? Either wine/champagne is not taken seriously here in North America or the North American “wine fridge” market is being protected from import units - who knows?In the past year or so we have acquired some very nice wines and champagnes - not for status and prestige like nowadays. We like it because it’s a snapshot of a year in the life of a vineyard. After all, wine is an agricultural product no different from apples and oranges you buy at the supermarket. Some years are great where you get the sweetest fruits and other years you get the worst and then there’s everything in between. The difference is, unlike fruits and vegetables, some wines have to well...age in the right conditions and temperatures and in some cases, we’re talking years of aging. Eurocave designs their products to mimic a French cellar. Even their choice of lighting in their coolers resemble the old school candle lit cellars back in the day.Anyway, if you’re going to have a collection of any wines/champagnes you should use the best storage apparatus. Here’s where Eurocave and JTS Habitat come in. Eurocave is a French company well known in Europe, America and Asia with some of the best restaurants there using their wine coolers to store their wines. Simon and Jennie from JTS Habitat are one-if not the only the local representatives in the Vancouver area for Eurocave and are giving us the opportunity to acquire these world class wine storage units.So a visit to their showroom in Richmond was welcoming Simon and Jennie are fellow wine enthusiasts who know their products well. Thanks to COVID you may need to make an appointment so best to call first. From the order to the delivery to the follow ups were top notch. Also thanks to COVID, you may need to wait if it has to be shipped from France or from the warehouse in Eastern Canada. Understandably, ours took about 2 months but I’m sure it would be quicker under non COVID conditions.We are very happy with our purchase and JTS Habitat and more importantly, our bottles are very happy to live in our Eurocave. Of course you will never be able to go to the winery’s cellar to get your special wine for tonight’s dinner, but the Eurocave is the closest thing to having your own personal cellar at your disposal. Temperature, light, humidity and shock will affect a wine greatly and Eurocave along with JTS Habitat will make sure your wines and maybe in some cases, your investment don’t prematurely spoil.

I knew about Eurocave’s excellent reputation when I went in, but I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service. All my questions were answered (and I had quite a few), and there was no hard sell approach. The quality of the product was only exceeded by the quality of the service, which included timely communication while awaiting delivery. Even the white glove delivery team was fantastic, as was the follow up communication. At every stage, there was genuine care to ensure my satisfaction. As for my wine fridges, I was particularly pleased by the fact that they are incredibly quiet and give off minimal heat. I can highly recommend both Eurocave and JTS Habitat Ltd without reservation!
