The staff at the Guildford location was amazing! Not only did they help my fiancée pick the most perfect ring, but when I needed to come in to get it resized they were so helpful with recommending a new size so that I wouldn’t lose it!

On Friday, July 7th, at approximately 4:40 pm, I visited the Guildford Town Centre with the intention of purchasing a birthday gift for my fiance. During my visit, I entered Peoples Jewelers, where I encountered a rather disheartening experience. Despite the store being relatively empty with only two staff members and two other customers present, I found myself waiting for an extended period of time, approximately 20 minutes, without receiving any acknowledgment whatsoever. Despite making eye contact with both employees, they completely disregarded my presence. Interestingly, one of the other customers waiting, mistook me for an employee, perhaps due to my formal attire as I work at a bank. After clarifying that I was also a customer, we both continued to stand there for another frustrating 10 minutes. Eventually, the other customer, accompanied by her two children, decided to abandon the wait and head over to Excel Jewelers, which is right across from Peoples. Feeling utterly neglected and exhausted by the lack of acknowledgement, I also left and chose to explore Michael Hill Jewelers downstairs.When i arrived in Michael Hill, I was promptly greeted and attended to, despite the store being significantly busier. Overall, my experience at Michael Hill Jewelers was far superior, leading to the purchase of a beautiful bracelet.In light of my encounter, I feel compelled to caution others against visiting Peoples Jewelers, as it appears their employees display a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. If it were possible, I would have given this establishment a rating of 0 stars and would strongly recommend considering alternative jewelry businesses within the mall.

I went into the Guildford store to have my rings resized at Christmas (and paid a fortune for this) and when I got them back I felt they were just too big and it worried about wearing them. I visited the store in March after lots of thinking and worrying about having to resize them and the cost. The manager (Debbie) and sales lady (Colleen) were absolutely amazing. Super pleasant and accommodating. Thank you People’s Guildford !!!

They were very friendly, not pushy to get you to buy, informative when questioned overall great service and I would buy here again!

Worst customer service from one of their employees. The tall, slender woman. I know they are busy at this time of the year. But I have been waiting for more than 20 min. No greetings or whatsoever. And when I asked a quick question, shuts me down ( and proceed to tell me that they can only help one person at a time in a very rude and condescending way) even though it is their policy to assist only one person at a time, atleast say it in a nicer way.I've worked in customer service , specifically jewelry stores for years and I have never treated my customers like how she did.

I have been coming here for all of my jewelery and the store is beautifully set up and all of the employees are very friendly.

I went into Peoples Jewellers today inquiring about insuring a ring I received from the online store. The ring was alot nicer than I expected for the price paid. I spoke to Debra who firstly searched for my receipt in the system then when I asked how the warranty coverage worked. She explained to me very honestly that if the repairs over exceeded the cost paid for the ring I would most likely get the cost paid for the ring back in return. I was happy to hear this and it made my decision very easy whether to purchase the insurance on this particular ring I received for a deal. Thank you so much Debra for your expertise and not trying to make a sale off of me.
