Great home appraiser

Great company.I have used them on all my houses and have always been treated extremely well. There appraisals are accurate and fast and they have communicated well with myself and my bank.

I have got appraisal from this company for one of my properties. The appraiser came to my place and measured all corners and note down his findings. While I was talking with him he was not paying attention like he was ignoring me, i was simply saying to him to check the neighboring property with its MLS number which has the same layout same measurements and was in market for 10 days and sold with $$$ amount. He was presenting himself as he was having trouble listening and understanding complex sentences. I have offered him copy of the blueprint of the property that can give him a good idea to compare other properties in the market which were developed by the same builder. He didn't care to take the copy of the blue print of the property with him. He asked me to pay him in cash and did not provide me with a receipt or anything which says that he received the fees from me. I have asked him if I was going to get the copy of the report, to which he said I will not get any report since I have not ordered it. Why didn't I get the report? Why I had to pay the fees to him since I was not getting the report?So finally he sent the report to the bank, in that report he appraised the property at 80K bellow the market and his reasoning was there was a similar property in the neighboring community was in a market and sold at that price he appraised for. I never got hold of that report. With this experience I came to know that these companies are playing safe they don't want to be in trouble or questioned by the banks or lenders or whoever controls them. I am not going to this particular company again.

Very poor phone reception. From out of town, didn't want my business. Told me that an appraisal probably wouldn't want to drive to my place because it would be a very long drive. If i would be willing to pay, why would that be an issue. Reception had no idea what she was talking about.

Expects people to pay money without providing any examples of workmanship.I approached them in regards to a home appraisal. There are people in the city who charge between $225 to as much as $600 for appraisals. All are certified RealEstate Appraisers. Their quite was in the higher end. So all of the Appraisers for a sample report so that I can see what I am getting for my money and what justifies the cost. Almost all of them provided me with a sample, except them.Their replies were company policy not to release past reports or example reports"
