Enterprise Car Hire - Inverness Airport

Wonderful friendly customer service. We were let down by SIXT down the road (do not go with them) and the ladies fixed us up a car at 10pm at night! Sharon was the one who helped us and we were very grateful.Shuttle takes you back to the airport when returning the car too which took a minute.Deposit returned within 24 hours of getting home!

I have nothing but positive things to say about National/ Enterprise car rental services at Inverness Airport. More specifically it was Dave (David) that helped immensely and to an extent Kinga also. I had an awful Mercedes SUV that had all kinds of little issues and bugs that I ignored for a period until the engine literally went into some ridiculous limp mode and could barely move 17 miles an hour. It ended being faulted as internal fuel actuator issue. Mercedes Road side assistance was completely useless (strongly do not recommend) and I'd even say incompetent/ ridiculous with some of their request and suggestions they offered. However, Dave and his team were fantastic.We were on the Isle of Skye with no other rental companies or dealerships around and Dave managed to get me a replacement vehicle that was not only better (Volvo XC90) but also had a larger boot. This was important as we were driving four adults and a baby! He got us a taxi driver to drive us 45 minutes away in the evening in the middle of Skye.After having to deal with a leaky tire (I STRONGLY think was caused from previous renter and not disclosed), multiple weird internal car bugs and then finally an engine failure, Dave and also Kinga were very understanding and superb in their customer service. Dave took care of everything in the background and after I returned the Volvo had followed up with me. He was very accommodating to our needs and even offered a little gift that was much appreciated. I work for an airline and I have many employees and affiliates I work beside and I will always recommend this branch if anyone plans on renting a car within Scotland.Thanks again!

I phoned Enterprise on Wednesday to explain we had a tight turn around between car pick up and a tour we had booked. The gentleman I spoke to, Phil, was really helpful and took as many details as possible over the phone so that we could get away as soon as possible. This morning, we picked up the car, (we actually arrived slightly before opening but were warmly welcomed anyway!) which is brand new, having covered only 55 miles, and away we went. Super quick and easy. Particular thanks to Phil for making the process such a positive one.

Kate picked us up from the airport and was very welcoming. David was very professional and helpful at pick-up and made sure we knew how to navigate the car and call for service, if needed.

Great service and nice car! I’m glad to see that Enterprise service in the UK is excellent like in the US! Phil checked us in and was very kind and helpful! After we returned the car, he also gave us a ride to the airport because the little shuttle bus seemed to have been delayed. 5 star service, will definitely come again if I ever return to Inverness!(Also, it might be just corporate policy or ? but I was comforted to see some rainbow lanyards during Pride Month. I get nervous as a queer traveler when in unknown possibly “conservative” areas of the country and world.)US drivers beware, though: manual transmissions are the standard in the UK! Make sure you reserve an automatic ahead of time of time or else they might run out!

I have been charged an excess of £200 for a 1cm mark on a tyre that even the assistant manager couldn't not find when he looked at the car. They have no photographic evidence to prove that the mark was not there on when I picked up the car. Expect to lose your excess.

Very good customer service albeit I feel the excess insurance sell was excessive considering the roads were nowhere near as bad in Scotland (inverness) as what was called out! Mandy was great on returning the car :)

Enterprise Inverness Airport branch just scam me for $3600. I rented a manual car with excess protection. We left the rental facility within a couple of miles the car started smelling and I eventually park my car at tesco extra market for safety. Upon inspection it seems the clutch has burned off. I barely drove the car 5 mi or 12 km in less than 10-12 mins. I quickly called enterprise they told me to call AA emergency hotline to inspect the car and determine the issue. I told her it might be the clutch. I quickly ask her that if this is covered by my insurance she quickly dismisses it and she quoted me right away they charge 3,000 to 4,000 pound for a burn clutch. I told her it wasn’t my fault for getting a faulty car which I barely drove for 5 miles.She keeps insisting that it happened in my watch I am liable for breach of contract damage which I barely drove in less than 10 minutes and that my insurance will not be covering it. The vehicle before driving has already 52,000 miles that should had been a red flag. I rented manual cars before in other country and never had this issue beforeFinally the inspector (emergency help line guy) arrives it was determined that the clutch was the issue. I even ask him if he thinks that it’s my fault for burning off the clutch by driving it less than 10 min he said there’s no way to break a clutch unless there’s an existing issue already or worn offHe quickly took a look at the engine and the clutch pedal inside and its worn off. He told me that there’s no way I could had broke it for just driving 5 mi and in less than 10 minutes of driving.I talk to enterprise again they instructed me to leave the vehicle on the location it will be towed later. After the conversation she charge me quickly of $3600 or £3,000 on my credit card she informed me that this is protocol their mechanic will determine if its my fault or if the car has an existing issue aka broke clutch. I don’t know how they will determined that? I also starts to question the inspection history of the car and it’s maintenance the same lady argued that it’s well inspected and it’s most likely my fault for breaking it. I am so frustrated. I rented manual cars before and never had this issue.Another issue is that my family are now stuck at the parking lot of tesco. I am with my wife and 19 month old daughter and it’salready almost 9 pm stuck with no car. Enterprise did not even offer to help us out or at least provide assistance how to get to our hotel only thing she told us is that they don’t have any other alternative car to replace it and they are sold out until Sunday. Thanks Aisling for caring if my wife and daughter are stuck in the middle of no where you could at least offer us to contact a taxi driver. Only thing she instructed is to come back Sunday if I want another car. So I was basically left to figure out how to get a taxi she did not offer any assistance besides charging me instantly of 3,000 pounds.
