Customer service here is great, good product selections and standard prices. I always try and support local snowboard shops. The only thing I won't be coming back to So Hip for is getting my board waxed. Last season I brought my board here and they did an alright" wax job on it. It was a bit patchy. I decided to give them another shot a few weeks ago and it first glance it seemed liked it was done properly (I picked the board up same day

Amazing store, excellent selection and prices. Kalen was really patient and knowledgeable, helping me find a great pair of snowboard boots. Joe was fantastic too. Bought quite a bit of snowboard and skateboard equipment and will continue to be a happy customer. Keep up the amazing work.

Guy with the long hair and British accent is AWESOME! Gave me lots of great advice for my snowboard gear upgrades :) though the item I wanted to purchase wasn’t in stock, I definitely will be making a purchase from this store in the future just because he was such a great sales associate!

Went to this shop last year as a beginner and they high pressure sold me a snowboard boot that’s 1 size bigger than my actual size. No measurement or boot fitting guidance whatsoever. Went to a local shop in whistler this year. Got the measurements in and foot prints on a device. Very unethical and caveman style high pressure selling.

Very friendly staff. The owner is a real saint. Nice collection of skateboards, snowboards, and longboards. They have everything needed to customize your own board as well as store merch ranging from shirts, masks, hats etc. They also help with any board issues and repairs or maybe new parts needed. They will advise you fairly and honestly care a lot about their customers. Great place to start your skateboarding journey!

One of the original Skate shops in Toronto, I learnt today that So Hip It Hurts is under new ownership. What does that mean? No more shots for your large purchases, though chin up... there is an LCBO across the street. Lots of decks on the wall, once you enter and snowboard hard gear is in the back of the shop. Store lighting isn't very bright but that's always been the atmosphere here, friendly heads up, if you do have mobility issue's there is a 2 stories of steps to go up. Very cool brands here and some double sided Coal brand face masks.

As a somewhat avid skier, I wanted to replicate the feeling on snow out of ski season, so I decided to start skateboarding. Johnny made awesome recommendations, provided great suggestions on how to start as a beginner, and carefully tuned my board. Later I learned from friend that Johnny Tang is a really awesome skater himself, wow!In the end I decided to go with the landyachtz dinghy. I gave it a ride as soon as I got home, and it felt great - well it's not exactly the same feeling on a pair of skis (obviously, lol) but equally fun! I think I'll stick with my dinghy before my next trip to sunshine village :)

Place is awesome. Was lucky enough to shop in store for the brief time we could and was super happy with how helpful and informed the staff were. Hooked me up with an awesome deck and new shoes.
