My fiancé and I learned and heard about Katie's work from friends and other vendors that had worked with her. What really drew us in is that she is based in Hamilton and makes it look like a completely different place on earth, almost like magic. We also really loved her mood/tone to her pictures. The couples and people in her pictures, do not look staged and they look very raw, natural and candid. We knew that for our big day, we wanted someone that would be able to capture us candidly, since we can get very awkward when pictures feel staged. Katie's work is very edgy, romantic and movie-like. We followed her work prior to her engagement and once we got engaged, we knew immediately we wanted to work with her. We actually booked her in the middle of a pandemic and she remains so flexible and understanding amongst the uncertainty of wedding planning at this time. We have not yet been able to have her photograph our wedding, but we were so so happy with her work during our engagement shoot. It was the most fun we ever had! My fiancé usually hate pictures and he loved every step of the way, because she makes it about YOU. She brought out a side of him behind the camera that I have never seen in 10 years of dating! She really helps tell your story in the way YOU want it and is able to capture that. We love you, Katie! We cannot wait for our 2021 wedding!

I first want to start off and say that I really contemplated writing this review because Katie is such a boss and I am a big advocate for women supporting women. However, I think that the experience I had with my boudoir photo session warrants some constructive criticism.Booking my session was really easy and Katie was really nice to talk to over the phone as she explained to me how the boudoir session would go, I was all in and booked my session online with a prepayment plan that allowed me to prepay for my session and products at any pace that I would like, this upfront cost was over $2000, but it was a cost I was willing and ready to spend, and was made tailored to me with the freedom of payments.On the day of the session I arrived at the studio and was greeted by Katie's lovely assisted Jess. Jess did my hair and makeup and we had life chats during this time, listened to music, and it was great! I was really happy with my hair and makeup, but had not had the chance to meet Katie yet. Jess said she was running late that day. Due to the sensitive nature of the shoot, I would have loved the opportunity to actually meet and talk with Katie beforehand, but I really didn't get that! I actually first met her wearing lingerie, which truly I didn't mind but I can imagine that wouldn't be overly comfortable for everyone and made things a little impersonalWe started the session and Katie talked me through all the poses, I was super relaxed and her encouragement was awesome! However, during a point in the shoot she stepped out to let me change for the 'just the sheets' set, and I was laying on the bed covered by only a blanket for 10 minutes, to which she walked in and said she got so caught up in conversation with her assistant she forgot about me.The photo reveal and editing process was awesome, Katie did a base editing of all the photos so I could pick and choose my favourites for my prepaid products. I was so inlove with the images that I decided I wanted to pay for the full gallery, this was going to be an additional $2000, but so worth it in my mind because this was a once in a lifetime experience for me.I received my physical product on time and the pickup was seamless! However, I didn't get the corresponding digitals until I asked about them months later, to which i was told it likely all got lost in the shuffle of things and that I would get them soon. I didn't receive the corresponding digitals until mid september after my early june session.I assumed that I would receive the entire gallery at this time and that that was the reason for the delay, however, I only received the 30 digitals that were in my physical album, not the entire album I had paid in addition, which I had paid off before the end of June.I had to send several emails discussing how I should have gotten all the digitals and had only gotten 30. I was told again that things probably got lost in the shuffle and that Katie was backed up in editing and that I would receive them soon.It wasn't until December after my June session that I got the rest of my digitals. a 6 month wait for photos that I had paid an additional $2000 for.In order to make up for this Katie graciously ordered a brag book, her assistant let me know Katie was sorry and wanted to make up for the wait. When I went to pick up the brag book, Katie opened the door, said hello, and told me that Jess would give me what I was there to get. I tried to talk to Katie and thank her for the gift but she was talking to someone else and didnt address me until her assistant told her to. Again, this was a service I paid a total of $4000 for, that I had expressed my disappointment with, and the remedy felt dismissive and impersonal because Katie never spoke to me directly over email or in person regarding the issue.I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and to me, these moments are what matter. An investment where I pushed myself to be very vulnerable unfortunately left me a little disappointment in the overall experience.

I decided to bite the bullet and book a boudoir shoot for my 30th birthday. This also doubled as a gift for my husband's birthday. I wanted to remember who I used to be, and who I will become by getting out of my comfort zone. This experience was more than I could have expected. I was pampered, hyped, listened to and it felt amazing! Not only did I leave that day on such a high and with newfound confidence and self-love, I made a great friend! Thank you Katie for seeing me and making me feel better than I could have imagined. These photos will serve as a reminder of my youth and of an unforgettable experience!

Katie is not only an incredible photographer, but one of my absolute favourite people! She makes you feel like you've known her forever the first time you meet! Both my husband and I are pretty camera shy and awkward, and Katie captured so much of our personality and love in both our engagement and our wedding photos!Katie also worked with us through lots of changes and accommodated us by worked on a day she normally takes off for our engagement shoot because my husband and I only had Sunday's off together. She also offered so much advice and help when it came to the day of the wedding - what shots, lists of things she recommends for detail shots, portraits and family photos.Katie is such an absolute sweetheart, and I'd recommend her to any of my friends or family for any of their weddings!

Katie is an amazing photographer & an overall beautiful human! She makes you feel so much at ease, even when first meeting it’s like you’ve always known her. She treats you like a friend & not just a client. Her work can speak for itself once you see her stunning photographs! But on a personal level she is a dream to work with, we used her for both our engagement photos as well as wedding! We know we will be using her in the future whenever we need some more photos taken.Highly highly recommend Katie if you want to have photos you will love forever!!

I would recommend every woman doing a boudoir with Katie. She is an amazing photographer and an incredible human! I have never been so in love with my post pregnancy body as I am now! Doing this with her was so empowering!!Thank you Katie so much for this experience and I will definitely be doing another one again in the future❤️❤️

Katie, there are not enough amazing words to describe your work. The natural talent you have, to the comfort you bring your clients (who you make feel like family) is just incredible. I never doubt that you will create these moments that will last a lifetime and showcase our love so perfectly.My fiance and I woke up to an email that our full engagement session was sent to us and I RAN to get my laptop and together we watched the video, and looked at the pictures in bed. Let me tell you- I BAWLED like a complete baby and was overcome with SO many emotions. We just got our engagement photos back from Katie and they look absolutely amazing! She did a great job of helping us relax and directing us without making us pose so that our photos look natural. I would recommend her to anyone.UPDATED since our wedding: Katie continued to be amazing! We loved working with her and Aaron. It was a very long day and they kept smiling throughout and going above and beyond to make sure none of our moments were missed. We were so lucky to have them shoot our wedding.
