Brutal service from BMO. After 25 years with them, I had a few awful service experiences with them. I cancelled all bank accounts with them and moved to RBC (which is excellent). They begged me to keep my credit card with them, which I did, under the premise that they would waive the annual fee moving forward. They have waived the fee for the last 5-7 years every year, but charged me this year. Hours on hold, sending online messages that aren't responded to, just the awful services continues. Now they are playing dumb and saying that cannot reverse annual fees. They have done it for the last 5-7 years and should check their own system. Used to love BMO and now will make my final cancellations on the remaining cards with them. Embarrassing level of service and professionalism unfortunately.

Worst bank services I’ve ever experienced, specially for new comers. Handover ridiculous 500cad limit credit card that is frozen for 12 months?! Just useless.They are also unable change debit card purchasing limit, that seems to be the most complicated thing on earth to do?! Just stay away.

Horrible!!! Absolutely brutal!! Made me call twice on the same day and made me wait over an hour both times!!! BMO - Better Make Other plans.... Shame on you as a company... Your customer service has been getting worse and worse over the years.. Avoid them like them like the plague..

Big kudos to Chris Riley, private banking officer at BMO downtown, this dude went above and beyond to resolve a cheque issue I had at Scotiabank, reliable and pronto to answer his phone, showed ownership and care for his customers. He coordinated very efficiently the issue between my bank (Scotiabank) and BMO. I think Chris deserves recognition or have his salary increase; because of people like him banking will always be a great experience.

We opened a new Business Account in October. The senior Banker we are working with made a mistake in our company's name which we identified in the application upon review before the account was opened but since then it has not been fixed on the Account Statement and account statements we received for October and November still has wrong company name despite the confirmation and re assurance by the Sr. Banker we are working with.. This is causing so much stress and causing delays because we must provide account statement for our business requirement and the company name is WRONG. We feel that we made a very big mistake in choosing BMO for our Business account, it is the WORST experience so far. This has been a very stressful experience, and still the issue is not resolved. Is there anyone from the branch who can fix this issue? Or should we just close the account??

Went by to upgrade my account to my employer preferred plan. I didn’t have an appointment but I was seen to within 5mins of being there. Michael and Michelle helped out and the service was great overall.

The mortgage broker I dealt with, Hilyn Delgado, was horrendous. I was doing a mortgage renewal and wanted to bring my business over from another bank and she did everything to ensure I didn't bring it over. She was unexcited, distracted quite often looking past my shoulder to the staff outside and when I had left messages regarding the account and status, she never returned ANY of the calls back. Suffice to say, her indifference to my account and business ensured I went elsewhere to another bank. I will never again consider switching to BMO in the future which I am intending on doing shortly with another property.

Do not make a mistake to open a personal bank account with BMO during the pandemic. In the past months, the average waiting time to get connected with BMO customer service on the phone is approx. 45 min after opening the account, and on one occasion I had to wait 1h40 min without being connected at the end. I cannot comment on the quality of bank services BMO provides, they can be really good, but with respect to a fast and efficient resolution of inquiries over the phone, they are currently at the bottom of the ranking.A note this review is about BMO as a whole, not this specific branch, which is located at the same address as the BMO headquarters.

I had a genuine experience with a staff here. I had to deal with a lot of problems when I purchased costly items including flight tickets, and BMO automatically shut my credit card down for investment, then the assistants over phone calls had no willingness to help me and that I was preparing to change my bank. I'm generalizing that overall BMO staff I have seen for years seem always bothered and annoyed that I feel sorry to even ask sth. You guys have serious service problems in my opinion.But one of the staff here helped me in a professional and promising manner and resolved the issue assuring it won't happen while I'm away from Canada.
