Absolutely the BEST camp ground anywhere we've been there 28 years and are so lucky to have become like friends (family) with the owners, and retired seasonal campers We retired here and now don't want to go home... love it..

Visited 57 years ago, age 9, in 1965. Stayed 2 weeks in cottages with mom, dad, my brother, Grandma and Grandpa (the latter the impetus for the trek from Northeastern Ohio in his relentless quest of the perfect fishing trip).Grandpa caught a huge Northern Pike, his top catch ever, while I caught a five-pound catfish off the dock using a bamboo pole, with plenty of Bass and panfish to go around, so Grandpa chose wisely. It rained much of the time with no fully sunny days, but I remember the place vividly after all these years, so I might have to return for old times' sake.

In the fall it's nice to ride around in the boat. During summer months become very busy on the water. Tying up and Buckhorn locks can be challenging. Not very many spaces at the locks to tie up. Some cases you need to stay within the markers. There's a few rocks beds to be aware of going down the channel in the Buckhorn
