Prices are higher than they should be and asking $90 for an old mac laptop with no power adapter and a no exchange policy is out of line

Definitely one of the best thrift stores in the durham region, sometimes the prices are a little crazy—a used t-shirt for 15$ is a bit much. The store is usually clean and stock is always changing, I usually leave with something here and have the best luck finding things. Definitely better then some of the other thrift stores.

If you want to buy a used item at a higher price than you can buy it brand new, shop here. If you like to gamble on whether clothes you pickup will actually fit you (because you can't try them on here), this place is for you! You don’t even get to return them, you can only exchange. You'll get the added privilege of checking yourself out when you're done shopping.

I found some wonderful clothing, but when I went to pay I had a terrible experience with the young male by the name of Nikolas. I showed him my 30% coupon which was emailed to me. Unfortunately, there was no bar code to scan and I asked him if he could either show me how to get the bar code or call for someone who knows how. His reply was Are you kidding me". I shop at this Whitby store all the time and donate generously. I've never had a bad experience ... Until today!"

Been coming here for quite a long time and it's really gone downhill the last couple years. They've started pricing things as if they're an actual retail store and not a place where they sell things other people literally threw away. Simply buying a pair of jeans will set you back $20-$30. Really? Even T-shirts are now about 5-6 dollars each average. At that point I may as well buy them new, especially when Walmart sells packs of 4 for $15 each.Electronics are the absolute worst for it. Last time I was there, the electronics shelf had a knackered 70s 8-track stereo on it that was clearly dug out of someone's garage during a cleanout. It was still covered in years of garage filth and was not even tested. Yet they were still trying to charge $50 for it! Wish I had a photo of that. It's to the point where nowadays when I go in I see things lying around from last time that have been sitting for ages because nobody wants to buy them. Just judging by some of these other reviews I'm definitely not the only one who feels this way.At this point it's better to just go to flea markets or yard sales or charity thrift shops. It's the same quality stuff as here, just way cheaper.

Every once and a while you can find something good at one of these stores. The only thing that I don't quite like or understand is, everything is donated and they charge way to much for a lot of items.

Value village is nice place to get the second hand items in very affordable price. the items up here are nice and clean. we got one basket made up of coconut shrubs and wooden sticks for my cockatiel (Parrot - a pet). My pet is enjoying this a lot. Must visit and wtach for things you might wantbto own and keep for your home as utility of decor items. one must try. the items and experience of mine was good so far.
