Capilano Rock + Gem

This is for the online ordering process. I put in for a lortone tumbler but while the pay processed I heard nothing back and nothing shipped. I cancelled my order. I'm really disappointed because it's hard to find lortone tumblers in canada.EDIT: the response below indicates that I spoke with someone when I called. I did not.it may have been someone else but not me. I completely understand issues with supplies but I never spoke with someone.

The people that run the store are amazing. Always nice conversations with them today. I was in there buying beads crystal beads. The nice thing is this every time I come in they have more stuff. I’m happy for the new location they have some brand new tools for doing lapidary

Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! Sarah is so knowledgeable and helpful and gave me advice on the proper tools and materials I needed. She was also very patient while I picked out (many) stones. The prices are also amazing!!! The cherry on top is that my car battery died while parked outside and the lovely staff helped me jumpstart my car. I will definitely be back!

Another edit! I didn't see what I wanted on the website, so I called and once again, I spoke to Chris. Got exactly what I wanted and I was notified the very same day by Canada Post that Chris had already put my item in the mail. If you don't see it on the website, call and speak to Chris. Love this place. Have ordered again and after speaking to Chris, will be investing in another tumbler. I am a newbie at tumbling and called for some advice. I was steered in the right direction. One of the best businesses that I have ever dealt with.I live in New Brunswick and found them online. I ordered a tumbler and some grit. The order got here quickly and was well packaged. Glad that I found them and will likely be ordering again and again .... and I love the heart shaped bubble wrap!

Very cool store with a huge selection and very friendly service

First of all I wish that I could remember the name of the lady who I usually deal with who has been at the store for many years. She actually took the time to teach me a complicated knot that I was struggling with. I cannot praise the rest of the staff enough who have been so helpful and welcoming on each visit. The store is a treasure trove of components and you can easily spend a day with a wallet full of money browsing , buying and cooking up" ideas . So much fun !As other reviewers have mentioned they certainly do know their stuff and are willing to share their knowledge as time permits.A shout out to the owner. Thank-you for the laughs ! Great selection of jewelry supplies of all kinds. If you like rocks and beads, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore the spacious store. Nice people have helped me on each visit.

I usually know exactly what I need and usually I find it there. I would rather pay Canadian than US for items from Rio Grande. So I go to Cap R&G first. But inevitably I leave with much more than I needed because there is so much cool stuff and a pretty good tool and equipment section too. Plus the staff are lovely.
