Transat Travel

I enjoyed transat in general. However, we had some issues with Marj. She forgot to add our cancellation fee to our deposit when we made the payment and then wanted to take it off at a later date. I was having some money issues and so I said, if it isn’t mandatory, do I need to add it? She told me I agreed to it when we first met and so I need to pay it. Then after we made the payment; she reached out again to tell me that we hadn’t paid and need to do so. Meanwhile we had the emails back and forth and the credit card statement to prove we had paid. My fiance and I have not travelled very much and we had a lot of questions and whenever we did have questions, she would answer one question, but not all and the responses were not always friendly.My step-dad tried to get in contact with Marj to book my fiance and I an excursion ad a gift or something fun for my fiances 30th birthday as a surprise! He tried calling and left messages, tried emailing as well and she never responded to him.A day or two before we were supposed to come home, there were guests who came back to the resort I was at and someone we knew personally were having issues with their flight… both had to do with a hacking that took place with multiple airlines. I contacted Marj with questions on what might happen if our flight is affected etc and her response was there are no issues with transat and to talk to the transat rep in Dominican (who we only seen at the resort 1 time during our stay).Definitely wasn’t thrilled with Marj.

We flew with Air Transat from Toronto to Jamaica and it was a great experience. The extra leg room we got was appreciated. They do offer complimentary drinks but no snacks :( The staff are friendly but most importantly the flights have been pretty smooth. I'd highly recommend flying with Air Transat!

Great customer service

Don't go to Marg. Forgot to add the full cost of trip cancel insure and tried to talk us put of getting it, didn't make sure our kids were part of Kid's Club (after telling us they were), and didn't ensure that the hotel would have a crib waiting for us, despite us telling her a few times. She seemed quite disorganized and not terribly knowledgeable.

Marj is problematic, and argues over phone calls and emails. Booked a trip in the DR in November the group I was going with made it clear we needed a refund option if we needed to cancel. We were offered cancelation protection, paid for it only to find out on our invoice that the cancelation protection was offered and denied". Also under the impression that we had 28 before departure date to pay in full we get a call from her a 52 days prior demanding payment or we'll lose our spots and deposits. Our previous agent Jill was great but Marj took her case over and it's almost as if everything we agreed with Jill was nulled when she took over

We have been dealing with transit travel for 20 yrs and found LindaC very helpful with all of our travels. They moved to Peterborough and we are still in contact with our agent. thanks Linda

We used Jill Wilden to plan our honeymoon. She was amazing! I asked so many questions and she happily answered them all. She was also super fast at responding. Plus she went out of the way to quote similar options for me. Amazing and will always use Jill going forward!!!
