compared 3 banks - RBC, BMO and Scotia. Scotia surely the best choice, especially for newcomers (faster approval, bigger credit limit, free deposit box for 1 year). Feeling myself as an honourable client :)

I visited this branch more than 2 years ago, and that time I was new to Canada. I was working at Tim hortons, and when I went there to deposit my cash tips, there was a guy asked me where the cash came from, which is a genuine question, but then next second he asked me did you steal it from someone. Which was realy rude and felt me racist. I didn't know that I can complain about it on the same day with manager. All I wanted to do was to deposit my hard earned money. This is one of the reason I've closed my account from Scotiabank.

Terrible hours, god help you if you work and need to actually go into the branch. If you try and call the branch you get redirected to the call center. Scotiabank used to have great customer service but now? Not so much. I'm truly disappointed. Yes I know there is online banking but sometimes you need an actual living breathing human being.

Hours on Google say closed at 4pm, sign on the door says closes at 5pm, I go regularly after work at 430, always open, but now they've locked the doors and shut off the lights 20 minutes before posted times on doors.

They close the ATM doors also when they close the branch on Main Street at 4pm, so you cannot get money out of your bank account after 4pm, They should have a device by the door for access after hours with your client card, this should be a no brainer by now.
