Went to the riding camp but not allowed to ride. Nowhere does it mention that a person wearing a cast can’t ride. Even with a Doctor’s clearance, we just got a simple No on first day of camp, after us spending $600+ on the camp and gears, not much explanation, no alternative suggestion, no further workaround, no withdrawal, no empathy. Imagine a small kid going to a camp for five days and being left out. It left a very hard decision on both the parents and kids.

My 12 year old girls have been attending the summer camps for the last few years. They love it. It's a no frills all round camp. Girls got great instruction for riding. They also got to learn about the animals and take on responsibilities for taking care of the horses. Great camp.

I recently began riding at Meadowlarke Stables. The instructor I ride with, Laura is excellent. She gave me very specific and helpful feedback and worked to follow up on areas of improvement she had noted in the next lesson. The staff is very friendly and helpful at this stable. The indoor arena is very large, divided into two sections the size of a regular arena. The horses are all well cared for and the three I have ridden have been great rides. The nice thing is that many of the horses and other animals (they have cows, pigs, sheep, and even birds) are rescues and you can learn about their stories. The only small challenge I had was at my first ever lesson it would have been nice if someone met me in the waiting room so I knew where to go, etc. I was not a new rider though and figured it out. They have a great program for beginners designed to get you all ready so obviously this would not be the case for someone brand new. The equipment is in good condition for the most part. The stable is kept neat and clean.

The learn to ride program at Medowlarke is excellent! As I have moved up beyond the learn to ride I have used every skill that I’ve learned in the program. We learned how to tack up, groom and care for our horses in a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The barn workers are super helpful and patient. As for the riding the instructors are very nice, helpful and have made being in the saddle a very happy and joyful experience. All of the horses are very friendly and adorable! I love going to the barn and seeing all of the staff, animals, and horses. The equipment that they offer is in decent shape. As I’ve moved up into higher classes I’ve purchased my own equipment such as my own helmet which I highly suggest just for hygienic reasons. One improvement I would like to see is heating in the arena as it’s very cold in the winter. I understand your newer facility has heating but it’s a bit unfair for the people who can’t get to Meadowlarke North. Besides that the facility’s are a bit rough around the edges a and need a new coat of paint, but otherwise it does it’s job. I’ve loved every minute I’ve spent here and I’ve enjoyed myself.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I am having a wonderful experience in private lessons. The facilities are clean and well managed. There are a variety of horses that will give you a well rounded learning experience and contribute to your growth and strength as a rider.

Started learning how to ride and it has been a great experience. My instructor Laura is incredibly kind and helpful. A huge thanks to the barn workers, especially Jacob for helping me before and after my lessons. As a beginner, I need lots of help and instead of just stepping in Jacob takes his time to teach me to saddle and bridle my horse.

Extremely very bad experience with the owner - Anthea who just wants your money & very rude & full of bad attitude instructor - Jessica who wastes your time & does nothing & lies that they don’t have a horse for the kid & asks ppl rudely to leave. Just to let Jessica know that when customers come, they have paid, they are not coming for free, so learn your manners & behave well or else will be slapped hard for your attitude. Wish Anthea should have taught her daughter - Jessica proper manners & behaviour in childhood. But am not surprised cause maybe Anthea was raised the same bad way of telling lies & misbehaviour. Came to know that the stable is run by Anthea & Jessica is her daughter so it’s a family business where they only want your money. They never start class on time but always expect customers to be on time. They didn’t remind to send students 30 minutes early in the last class on the email & class actually started after 7:13 but expects parents to remember to bring kid on time after 5 weeks delayed of last class. I asked to either reschedule the class with proper reminder to parents to bring kids 30 minutes early or to refund the last class money, but instead of apologizing Anthea bangs the phone on customers face, I have already reported them on BBB, posted everywhere on social media & being a CEO myself, I have conveyed it to all my contacts who will be taking their business away from Anthea in both North & South Meadowlarke. Both mother & daughter should be ashamed of themselves & even though they try to hide from me, they won’t be able to hide on the Day of Judgement. I will never forgive them. They are liars & everyone knows where liars go after death. They pretend to go by rules but do they follow rules? Have they ever started any class on time? Even the very first class which was run by Laura, all parents were sitting for more than 40 minutes when she showed up smiling whereas class was delayed but they don’t care. They just care for getting the money. Even receptionist - Paula is ill mannered which isn’t t surprised as she is working for greedy & liar family. So never ever waste your hard earned money on such greedy & liar family operated business.
