My phone, ID and credit cards were left somewhere at this Branch this afternoon. My husband got a call that it had been turned in. We said we'd go back tomorrow morning to pick it up but one of the staff very kindly offered to drop it off at our house on their way home from work! Unheard of service and so much appreciated especially during a busy and stressful time of the year. While this is clearly above and beyond" it is a reflection of how great this team at this Branch has been over the years! Happy Holidays! And a great BIG thank you!!!A. Boyd"

Their NOT PROTECTING MY" MONEY !!I signed a paper 2 PROTECT ME from such things as Overdrafts that 1 company keeps on doing & it Still Happening !!!!!!After I receive All my Monies coming in the Next 3 months I'm Switching to a TRUSTED INSTITUTION

Friendly staff and great location but don't even try to get ahold of a person on the phone. You will always be redirected to the call centre.Of note, there's a point in the phone system hell where you're boxed in and have to enter the name of someone in the branch. I don't know everyone's name. I just want to speak with someone.I can only imagine there's someone in the branch sitting there waiting for the phone to ring and it never does.It took me about 25 minutes to get through to someone's voicemail. Not sure if they were the right person. But honestly, I gave up.About twice a year I have to call the branch and forget every time it's faster for me to get in the car and drive down to the branch.

I witnessed your bank tellers deny an elderly man the use of the washroom and suggest he walk back outside into the rain, walk over to the mall, wait in line, and then walk through the mall so he could use the washroom. Then he proceeded to have an accident in his pants. I hope your bank tellers don't ever have to deal with that level of embarrassment in their lives but they get to live with the fact that they subjected an elderly man to that in the name of COVID". Sure they can say "That's the rules!" but where is the humanity and the judgement call?"

I have been with BMO for over 10 years. I had a fraudulent withdrawal in Novembet or 2020 It was resolved in branch and the 76.00 was returned to me that day. Fast forward to February 25 I again had the same thing happened. I attended the bank and was told I couldnt get my money back and I needed to open a new account and file a feud case and I might get my money back but it was not guaranteed. I feel this is a big inconvenience for me. No I have to go in tomorrow February 27 and start the process and hope I can get my money back. It seems like I am getting the run aroundIf this is not solved on February 27 I will be leaving this bank and going to another institution with my business and I will not recommend this institution to anyone

If you are looking to open an account, Do Not pick this bank, they will not help you with a loan even if you have excellent credit, the staff are only good with you if you have a lots of money , over $25 000 in your account otherwise they don't bother returning phone calls or emails.Do yourself a favour and go with Kawartha credit union. Montreal is cherry pickers with poor customer service.

In January of 2019, I went to this branch with an inquiry to see if I can have a co-signer for a Mastercard. The teller didnt understand what I was asking and actually did an application for a credit card in my name, to which I was turned down. I ended up losing a few valuable credit points and was upset. I was referred to speak with the assistant branch manager Diana Jones.When I explained what had happened and that I wanted her to fix the mistake so I am not losing credit points, she told me she would do so ( which never happened and my credit inquiry still shows up ). Diana also credited $100 to my bank account for my trouble and the miscommunication. She seemed to be good.I explained to Diana that I am trying to establish my credit and have been working hard but I dont seem to get anywhere. Diana then proceeded to tell me a story that in her previous relationship, she focused on her partners credit because hers wasnt good. When they seperated, she wasnt able to buy a car or anything due to her credit. She had told me that she applied for a pre-paid Mastercard and used it properly for a period of 6 months to make Netflix payments, buy gas, ect and made payments to her card immediately. She advised me when I make payments to my prepaid card, to do so through a transfer and not a bill payment, so that Mastercard receives the payment immediately. Diana advised me to follow this method and in 6 months, come back and see her personally to apply for a credit card. She said, if I maintained the card properly, that would help me get a small credit card and work myself up. Seemed like great advice and I was grateful at the time. So I got this prepaid card and I have used it properly since.Fast forward 6 months and I call Mrs. Diana Jones back. I was feeling pretty proud of my accomplishment and that I may finally start helping my credit out. I was unable to reach Diana due to her being on holidays and I spoke with the actual branch manager, Kelly Green. Kelly advised me that she would leave a message for Diana to call me back in 1 week when she returns from holidays. 2 weeks later, I still received no phone call back, so I called again. This time, I spoke to Diana. In this call, after I refreshed her memory, she then changed her position and told me that since I do not live in the Peterborough area, to make an appointment with a BMO lender, close to me and though she couldn't promise I would finally get approved for a credit card, she told me speaking to a BMO lender was the best route. I was a little taken back by this because she told me 6 months ago to deal with her personally but now she is shrugging me off? I was confused.So, I made an appointment with a BMO lender today and when I had my meeting and explained this situation, the lender was very confused. She said that the advise I was given doesnt help. So what? I've wasted 7 months of my life thinking I was doing something positive when in fact I was doing absolutely nothing to progress. I am sick to my stomach !I do not know why Diana Jones, the assistant branch manager lied to me but it is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Is this how BMO represents itself? By giving false, misleading information? I have been with BMO for over 20 years but now the relationship will soon be over. I will have NOTHING to do with them, Period.BE AWARE of the managers at this location. They are not good at their jobs and should not be in their positions.Thank you!UPDATE: Assistant manager Diana Jones just called me. She offered no solutions, only an apology. That's nice of her considering she wasted 6 months of my life with false information. She claims that Mastercard used to recognize pre-paid history but do not anymore. Convenient! Diana is just in damage control mode and did not seem sincere. I have read similar stories about this branch and their management, maybe this location should find manager(s) that better represent BMO because this customer has had enough of her lies.

I asked how I could make line of credit payments online -- that's how I do most of my banking. I was given a number and I made to payments of over $1000 each. Three weeks later I discovered that the number was an old one (so no longer valid, I guess). So, BMO never received the two payments, AND my credit rating has taken a massive nosedive. BMO says take it up with the branch". Now I have to sort through this myself and petition TransUnion to restore my credit rating. SMH!"

Booked an meeting at the front desk explaining that I'm a student from Quebec and I had funding from the government, but my forms were in French. The desk lady told me it was not a problem at all multiple times. Went to the meeting with the financial advisor who then told me it was preposterous to think a financial institution would sign papers they couldn't understand. She repeatly said 'No one speaks french here' on a rude tone. Very disrespectful. I understand it was a longshot, but the clerk told me it was not a problem. I wasted my time and I'm glad I found another institution in Peterborough.
