OPTICANADA - Pioneers in Digital Optometry

I spent $700 on glasses which sat in my drawer for the last two years because they got my prescription wrong. The staff are not all opticians, however some were given a crash course on how to use the eye exam machine. When I put on the glasses, my vision was cross eyed. I returned the glasses to the store and asked them to change the frame to a smaller size in order to fix the problem. They complied but after receiving the glasses again the same problem persisted. They assured me that my vision would adjust to the new frames and prescription, but that never happened. Instead I had to use my old glasses and wait two years until my insurance would renew for new glasses. Another thing was the thickness of the lenses was double that which my older glasses from costco, even though I paid for the best" and thinnest lenses. The "optician" explained that it's because my eyes have gotten worse

Went in this morning for an eye exam. The young lady working was very nice and trying to work with what she had. After the initial exams , some of which had to be repeated because of technical errors, I was moved to the next room where there seemed to be more technical problems. I sat in the exam chair when the make working was on the computer, not 3 feet away from me, I guess trying to figure something out. I don't know, because he said exactly nothing to me. After 10 minutes of this, exasperated, I got up and left. Very unprofessional. I'll, obviously, never return and would recommend anyone else to absolutely avoid.

Went there for a repair on my old eyeglasses. After quickly fixing it, and fine-tuning it like brand new, Moe refused to accept any payment for it even though I never bought anything in this store. I'll be sure to check with them when I need some new glasses.

Promit was GREAT in helping me with my eye exam and explained anything I didn't understand great customer service and client care. He also was very helpful in choosing my glasses, also genuinely cared about me and my eyes. Best experience I have ever had with my eye care. I highly recommend them for your eye exams.

Just for the lens (no frames) these guys charged $598 and drained the coverage from my insurance and my spouse’s insurance. If this goes wrong and I don’t feel comfortable with the lens they provide I can’t even buy another pair of glasses for the next 2 years and they said they will not replace the lens if I face issues. The guy who worked on my lens said he charged $250 orally and they keep talking to you that you don’t read the receipt there thinking they charged just $250 while you go home and find out the next day that they have actually drained your coverage. I called the next day to cancel my order and the same guy who told me that it could take over a week to get the lens says they can’t cancel it because it has already been cut. I never knew that an order that could take over a week gets done within 24 business hours because you wanted to cancel it. These guys just want to drain your coverage on whatever you buy. I would never visit them again. There is no extra coatings on the lens neither is it a special type of lens. Never heard of any normal lens that would cost $598. This is just minting money at the cost of customer. I was never mentioned of $598 until I came home and saw the receipt. I never provided any consent for $598. The worst part is I cannot even get another pair of glasses for the next 2 years if this doesn’t suit me.

Today I was at their store and I asked them to adjust glasses that I had bought there years ago. The optometrist that helped me, Sam, spent about twenty minutes and fine-tuned my glasses to the perfect fit. When I went to the till to pay, he refused to take any money. Excellent service!!

Superb service! Staff friendly, store was clean - overall a great experience! Katie, was lovely, friendly, and made my appointment seamless - and Sam was a fantastic help and picked out the perfect frames for me. Everyone was friendly, patient, and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Thank you for being honest and straight forward, kind and knowledgeable and most of all taking your time to answer my 50+ questions ;). Like I said you guys deserve this review.
