Leaning Post Wines

We had an absolutely wonderful experience while visiting for a weeknight tasting. We were lucky enough to have the assistant winemaker, Ace, walk us through the wonderful variety of single vineyard vintages they have to offer. Although not her usual work post, we were very lucky to have her exceptional knowledge and conversation for the evening, the fantastic service certainly highlighted the unique bottles and we were able to try.A quick comment on the wine, they have taken great care in preserving the unique profile of each grape and their origin, and have a selection of natural wines that they have aged &/or fermented in typically unconventional vessels such as cement & amphora. Everything we had was standout, the quality of the wine is remarkable, absolutely worth the value.Truly a lovely location, I would highly recommend stopping by for a tasting or even a glass, which will almost certainly lead to bringing a couple bottles home.

We had a wonderful visit at Leaning Post Winery this afternoon. Jackie was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating and made our experience memorable. As someone new to wine, I really appreciated her detailed explanations of how the wine process works. We ended up purchasing several bottles after many wonderful recommendations and delicious tastings. We will definitely be back and will be telling all of our wine-loving friends to visit!

I went with my family to the Leaning Post Wines, and let me tell you, it was an amazing experience. Since the moment we arrived, the customer service was top notch, we met Victor, our host, and he spent a lot of time explaining to us everything about crops, seasons, wines, different kind of soil, etc. I encourage you all to go and visit this place and experience what we have experienced.

Took a chance on a random google search for wineries and couldn’t have been happier! As soon as you walk in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Gave us many options of how to do a tasting, ultimately letting us decide what was most comfortable for us and they would accommodate from there. You stay inside, outside, walk around… whatever you want. Victor was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wine but also the property itself. His expertise was evident during the tasting but also explained other details to us about the growing / production process. Being able to discuss other wine regions with him in the world helped him pick out which wines we would prefer and he couldn’t have been more accurate! We will definitely be back and would highly, highly recommend checking this winery out! Get the charcuterie board too!

We had the absolute best experience of our wine tour here. Victor was an amazing educator who taught those of us who have been learning about wines for decades something new! He made it interesting for those who were fairly new to wines and he has a great sense of humour. The wines are fantastic and show the best of the region. Such a great winery! We visited three in this region yesterday and I liked the wines here the best. The service was very friendly and the lady chatting with us about wines was super nice and knowledgeable! The patio is super cute and we got the charcuterie board which was delicious and a generous size as well!

We had such a wonderful experience doing a tasting in the outdoor dome this winter. The wines were phenomenal, and the gentleman serving us was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to interact with. Such a gem to find a place like this so close to Hamilton!

Great winery with amazing staff! Me and my wife bought a few bottles last summer and one of the bottle (The Natural Gamay) was no good. I sent a email to them explaining my issue and without hesitation they replaced my bottle. I was so impressed with their great service. They shipped it to my place in no time. Juste wow! A winery operated by the owners, which is always nice. A true sense of pride is visible. The tasting is done knowledgably and professionally. They also have some experimental wines which are interesting and worth trying.

We stopped at 5:45 (15 minutes before close) and it did not seem to matter. Victor invited us in, walk us through and amazing tasting and we even bought four bottles of wine! Victor was knowledgeable, inviting, fun and hospitable and the wine was great! Thanks so much! Only wish we could ship to the states, we would have bought more for sure!
