BMO Bank of Montreal

The service when I have gone into the branch has been fairly good, but unfortunately the hours are terrible and do not in any way accommodate the working schedule of the average employee. Banks are supposed to exist to serve the customer but the hours at this branch seem to indicate that the customer is not important.

Oh my let me tell you about the service I received here. I just switched to start banking with TD . Customer service- pnhenomenal. BMO on big bay point customer service - horrible . Have never been treated so badly by a bank in my life . Mostly all staff is rude and they don’t care about any situation your in or whatever reason your there for . The managers are the worst there and talk to you like your a child. I don’t recommend banking with BMO big bay point . Better off going to the location on Mapleview .

I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a bank - NOT impressed with ANY service - will NEVER bank with BMO again and advise anyone else to investigate - THEY DON'T HELP PEOPLE especially if you are trying to fix your credit rating - buyer beware

After having some unauthorized activity on my account, Branch Manager Linda Bauman helped me to correct the problem. Originally received backlash for the transactions on my account. But I appreciate the due diligence of the staff at this branch to help me correct the problem. Highly reccomend.

On December 22 I went into this BMO location to deposit a cheque for the company I work for. It was busy; almost lined up to the door. All signs pointed to a recipe for disaster as the stress of Christmas shopping and travel plans coupled with long lines generally make for impatient customer service. BUT, this was not at all my experience. The manager I presume (a lady), once finished with the client in her office, came out and began to offer help to each of the clients in line. Then the customer service rep who helped me (I believe her name was Patricia) overwhelmed me with her kindness and patience as she took care of my deposit. It is rare to see such kind and generous customer service these days so thank you very much!

I have been banking with BMO for 10+ years. I have had nothing with wonderful experiences with this location and staff. Friday March 17th, that all changed. I walked in and was immediately treated with blatant racism. It was very apparent the branch manager did not like “something” about me. I needed a replacement card Ms. Tedesco, the branch manager condescendingly asked me why I lost it… twice. I was taken aback, how does one answer that? How does one react to her tone? In that moment, I felt that uneasy feeling in my gut, I knew this interaction wouldn’t end well. The branch manager refused to issue me a replacement card due to a clerical issue on their end, that she decided she didn’t want to fix? (I’m still confused as to why and to what benefit would she refuse to fix an obvious clerical issue) however by then, she allowed her internal biases run the show and was done with all rationale.The branch manager then threatened to have security “drag me out” then said she would call the police to “deal with people like you”.I am shocked, appalled and deeply embarrassed that all of this could be happening for being a black women.When I asked to speak to the manager she literally cackled (yes, cackled as if she waited her whole life to do it) to which she replied “guess what? I am the manager and there is no one above me”I then called the police on my end, she heard me on the telephone and said “good luck with that, I’m going on my break” laughed put her coat on and left.In her absence, a staff member who heard the entire ordeal decided to do the right thing.Although she KNEW what and why this was happening with the branch manager, she did not slander her. She simply went into my profile saw the issue, profusely apologized for their error and issued me a new card. Simple.Patricia is a reminder that in times of adversity, there are good people who won’t stand by idly watching racism and injustice, no matter what. No matter how much the manager tried to intimidate us BOTH when she returned.Ms. Tedesco you should be ashamed of your character. I have never in my life experienced this level of blatant racism. Micro aggressions sure, but this…. This was something I pray my children never have to go through or witness a day in their lives. This woman had no regard for me as human being, I was beneath her, she made it very apparent from the moment I entered until the moment I exited the bank.Thankfully, this occurred the singular time my children were not with me, I dare to imagine how scarring and scary this experience would’ve been for them.A deep internal investigation needs to be had at this location. The fact that Ms.Tedesco is appointed Branch Manager is enough to be sure the whole tree is rotten from the roots. “A healthy tree does not bear strange fruit” I am positive I’m not the first, nor will I be the last to have been met with Ms. Tedesco’s racism. I’m leaving this review as a warning to people of colour, if you are met with her and your account or inquiry goes awry for unknown reasons, you will know the reason.

In the last couple of weeks I have visited this branch twice for assistance Everyone that I dealt with was professional and empathetic to our circumstance and expedited our request immediately.My family and I are grateful to all the representatives at this branch. Great personable customer service!

Absolutely great customer service from Andrea. I was at the branch on 2 occassions where I had a banking issue. She was very professional and had great patience to hear me out and went above and beyond exceeding my customer expectations. Definitely would recommend this branch and BMO as a whole. Customer service like this is what makes you feel important.
