Great place. Some good deals to be had if you find something you like on clearance. Also a good place to get driving gloves for both men and women. Some of their gloves ( including aforementioned driving gloves) go up to size 11 so those of you with big hands - rejoice! The furniture is beautiful and I would buy it if I were confident my cat wouldn't destroy it.

Rediscovered this Acton landmark after a 20 year hiatus. Have purchased numerous jackets over the years. Everything from shearling to car coats to leather sport jackets. All are in great condition and am still lucky enough to fit into them. Sales are good and the clearance racks can offer up some really good finds, specially in the women's section up stairs.There is an extensive furniture section also with some of the nicest chairs and sofas I have ever seen.Jackets to gloves, hats to bags, belts to chairs, this place really has it all. Staff are an asset as they are always ready to lend a hand.Worth the drive! ( Just had to say it)

First time there and I have to say I was impressed. I have heard the commercials for years about making the trip to Acton. There is lots to look at and consider. And I picked up a new leather wallet to replace my old one. It was worth the drive.

This store has been around forever, great place to shop for anything made with leather. Lots of wemen's and men's winter coats and lighter wear as well. Hats, gloves wallets, purses and furniture.

Excellent selection. It's certainly worth the drive. I'm not sure why some negative reviews about the staff. Everyone was very welcoming and answered all our questions. They give you space to look around and try everything on. But are always ready to assist. Great experience.

I just visited The Hide House yesterday and as always, I’m impressed with the large selection of high quality ladies outerwear and accessories. I was greeted as soon as I stepped inside and soon after my favourite salesperson Violet came to see if she could assist me. She is always very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Every visit I end up finding something I like and end up buying it! This time I bought a very nice jacket which I know from my previous purchases that it will last me a long time, as not only does it look great, it is made in Canada and the quality is very good. I highly recommend The Hide House for any type of leather and non-leather outerwear. I’m a returning customer and definitely think that it’s worth the drive to Acton!!

I recently visited The ld Hide House and was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of knowledge and history that can be found within its walls. At first, the store may appear geared towards an older generation, but once I began speaking with the friendly associates, I discovered that this store has a rich history serving Canadian pilots since the early 20th century.Not only was the history fascinating, but the prices for the quality leather goods were quite affordable. I was impressed by the selection of products, all made from genuine leather.I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the market for leather goods.Don't judge this store by its exterior, because once you step inside and take your time, you'll find a treasure trove of interesting facts, high quality products, and an authentic interior that adds to the overall shopping experience.
