I had the pleasure of completing my PPL at Spectrum Airways exactly two years ago, Sept 18, 2020. I had a great instructor, and the staff is very helpful and accommodating throughout my training. I really enjoyed my training, flying out of CZBA.I did my training in a Cessna 152, and I enjoyed flying FESI. I requested FESI for my flight test as well. Even though my flight test was delayed by more than an hour, FESI was not assigned to anyone until I went and completed my test. I can't say enough good things about Spectrum Airways!

About time I leave a review of this place.After working for this company for about 4 or so years I really felt like I was at home. I did all of my flight training through spectrum and the amount of flying knowledge in that place is absurd.The atmosphere is very unlike other schools in how you're not treated as a number, but as a person. It's the type of place where after a few flights the dispatcher knows your name and asks how your lesson was. It's the place where you can approach any instructor with the simplest question and walk away with way more information than you know what to do with. This flight school does take care of their students and if you put a smile on your face they'll give you one right back.Of course with any flight school there are delays and frustrations with flight training however if you are worried or feeling those frustrations remember, you're not the first and you wont be the last. When you're sat staring out of the snow mid January hoping to go up, there's always the simulator to use or ground schools to study for or exams to get sorted however what I found best to do, was simply hang out at the school and study with some of the most encouraging instructors you'll find.With that being said if you're considering flight training in this area, with the diverse fleet of aircraft and instructors, Spectrum can and will take care of you. Just do your homework!!!

I've been with the school for just over a year now working towards my PPL. It's been a really enjoyable experience with an experience, knowledgeable, and passionate instructor. The instructors are genuinely interested in their students' success and strive for perfection in all aspects of flying, whether it be in the air or on the ground. And while they are extremely professional when they need to be, they still maintain a very friendly and laid-back atmosphere.The one negative thing I have to say is that they are extremely busy. Recently hired a lot of new instructors without expanding their fleet which makes booking airplanes a bit of a hassle at times (you need to book well in advance; last minute bookings are rarely a thing).Prices have gone up twice in the last year, so I would hope with the increase in traffic that we could see some new additions.

Nice school, friendly staff, knowledgeable instructors. There is a busy training scedule, and you will have to study hard for your PPL.

Very professional flight school. Was able to do my PPL here in less than 6 months. Instructors are hard working and very committed to helping you pass. Quality of instruction is top notch. You also save a lot of money, the flight school has great rates coupled with the fact that the airport is uncontrolled saves you a TON of money.

I got my husband a discovery flight as a birthday gift, and he had an amazing experience! If you want to wow someone with an amazing gift, I would highly recommend. Everyone that works here is so friendly and professional and makes the experience smooth and seamless. They even let us take photos before he got on the plane which made for a great keepsake!

Piper Warrior is a really nice plane to fly! They’re really cute to see in the sky and they land like charms.

Completed my PPL here a while ago and absolutely enjoyed the experience! I started training in the US and before long had to move to the UK. Multiple instructors worked outside of their normal hours to help me push through. Carson, Kasia, Vivian & Dennis were all committed in every possible way (teaching, getting me ready for & scheduling flight tests, all the paperwork for converting my US hours & getting the license booklet) and more than ethical when it comes to charging ground hours, if not undercharging! I wouldn't have completed it without any of their help, and all the staff I have worked with are incredibly friendly people. The planes are well equipped & maintained too. Glad I chose Spectrum after checking all the flight schools in GTA (and way better training experience than in the US).
