Rob was super friendly, and willing to negotiate the price. I came in to buy a Samsung phone for a relative, turned out, she didn’t like it, so we had to return it right away. He took the phone back and gave us a full refund. Other staffs are super friendly as well.

Best place to find great deals. After looking every where for a affordable phone for my 16 year old daughter I found one here for her, that was affordable in under 10 minutes with great service. Where verry happy and will be make Max pawn our first stop next time.

Friendly, honest, easy to work with staff, many nice items at the right price. Definitely the best pawnshop in thunder bay and the size is pretty impressive... I'm glad I got a good phone at a good price today thanks to Maxx pawn!!!!

Max Pawn is The biggest pawn shop in Thunder Bay. They have a lots of things: from kids toys to adult hobbies, music instruments to working tools, bicycle to bikes, glasses to knives. You can also find a lot unique items here. The only thing that I rate this low is the price. You must check online before you come. By the way, it is a pawn shop then please feel free to negotiate for the reasonable price. LOL. In case of urgent, as buy something for compensating the broken things. LOL. They also buy gold here. I never try. One thing I don’t like is the light in shop always dim. Maybe they want to save electricity fee. :)

I've spent plenty of money here over the last few years, and always had a positive experience. You might not even have to haggle, as they will probably knock a chunk off the price off the bat. One of the cool things for me was the nostalgic feel of the place. Reminds me of the old days, minus tobacco smoke of course.
