I am proud of our ancestors.Japanese people have to know this dramatic story in Canada in WW2 and after WW2 their life in Greenwood.I appreciate Greenwood people to keep the memory.

Nikkei Legacy Park
This park is a memorial to the Japanese Canadians who were interred here in 1942 during the Second World War. Now a beautiful park and memorial created with support from the National Association of Japanese Canadians, and a fitting reminder of a tragic episode. Checkout the Greenwood museum which has great displays and information on this history. Wander up to see the old buildings and houses in the town too. The museum has a brochure for a self-guided short walking tour which is very helpful.
