The Village of Humber Heights

My dad is a resident of this wonderful home. I have nothing but amazing things to say and am blessed he is in such a loving and caring home. Making the decision to put them in a home is always hard. He has advanced Alzheimer’s and the staff at Alderwood floor has taken my dad in like family, they are amazing. Every time I see him which is almost daily he is always clean and smells good and most important well taken care off. I can honestly say all staff in the village are wonderful and friendly

This is unique place to offer your volunteer or skill based services. You will feel really good from your inside whenever you serve anything with humble mind.

Great place, receptionist and nurses are great very helpful and respectful but personal support worker on most floors are extremely rude, does not know how to treat and respect visitors and agency people.

Staff is very nice and cooperative. Residents are looked after very well. Excellent services.

Fabulous place. Clean surroundings. AMAZING staff who really care and appear to enjoy their jobs. My mother has had better care there then she had with all the doctors she had before when she lived on her own. I leave there after every visit knowing she is safe and cared for

For the most part a very well organised and caring facility. Family of residents should be proactive in being aware of the conditions and care provided as staff members do tend to allow some residents to fall through the cracks.

The place is good except the residents are force to sit for 6 to 7 hours in a chair fill with excrement until dinner is over. They always say we are short staff, I say I will help change her, anything to get her her off the chair. Just to get her through the day and off the chair. At first there was a lot of staff, some ladies were super ignorant doing nothing just sitting and they did not want to change him. I had to beg and talk to many to get him changed. This is how they develop soars from sitting so many hours, yet the rooms are 4000 dollars. Why short staff everyday, but they treat them well, many ladies are beautiful helpers. Some nurses Are just clueless and give medication without asking a doctor why, when I ask to tell the doctor to call because the medication is wrong it takes days and days to respond. They are completely clueless about laws, I brought drinks for him and they sat there for 6 months hidden in their nursery, when I asked why, none had a clue. Management is really bad here, is all about the money and not caring for what's right. The Ukrainian nursing home is much cleaner keeping them super clean. Even if they are short staff

Friendly environment for residents. Some staff not as attentive as others, but need reminding by resident family members.
