Jacques Cartier Provincial Park
The park was easy to find. There is pavement all the way. The interior roads are mixture of paved, hard packed gravel and dirt. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are basic except dog ARE ALLOWED on the beach. Our site, 81, was a pull through that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and water sewer) were to the left rear side. Distancing is fair for a rural park. Some sites in the unserviced area had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was very well maintained. There is park included wifi for one item and only for as long as you have a site booked. Day area users to not have access. There is NO cable TV but we did not find a few OTA channels. Satellite should not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms, showers or laundry but we checked and found them clean. There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance but just a short drive away in Alberton you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a great place to sit back and chill. The red sand beach is a little rocky but still a pleasure to stroll. About an hours drive is The North Cape Reef. During LOW tide, one can walk it for about a mile. We paid $40.00 per night and we feel we received good value. We will be back if in the area again.

We stopped here on a day trip of local provincial parks and it was our least favourite of the day. There wasn't very much property to walk around and discover so our visit was over in 20 minutes. I'm not sure what other people have seen, but when we were there the beach was disgusting - and it smelled terrible. We did go after season, and the actual campgrounds seem to be well maintained but look small. Cool ship playground for kids. Would not camp here.

AMAZING SUNRISE!! The one thing I didn't enjoy was that the beach beside our campsite wasn't clean. However, the campsite itselft was fantastic! There is a 24/7 clean bathroom with a shower. In addition to an outdoor sink to do the dishes. Call a head of time and check if they allow fires. When we went there was a fire warning for the area.

Be prepared for extreme mosquitos! Beach is red mud and full of algae. Nice sites for 50 amps but ours was far from the sewer (45 ft on site 14). Employees are welcoming and helping.

I wanted an inexpensive vacation and decided to go camping at Jacques Cartier. One of the most compelling reasons to stay here is it is a mere 30 minutes north of Quebec City, so I was able to spend my days site-seeing in the city before heading home" to my tent at night. Truly a best-of-both-worlds experience. The park itself - with its mountains

My husband and I booked an impromptu stay at this park last week. We had never been to this side of the island, and thought we'd give it a go. We stayed in an unserviced lot right next to the water and it was amazing. Aside from the mosquitos, we had such a relaxing stay. The site was big enough for our medium sized tent, and although it states that it has low privacy, we were satisfied with how quiet and private it still felt, with the shrubs dividing us from our neighbors (who we're very respectful and quiet) and the sound of waves silencing any nearby conversations. What an amazing experience, falling asleep to the sound of the wind and waves. We will definitely be returning!

Great spot but the mosquitoes and horseflies can be pretty bad. Bring a screened shelter to fully enjoy your stay!

Nice beach but the sites are very open offering no privacy and no coverage from the wind or way to tarp to block rain. Also it's a bit out of the way from the rest of the island!

Nice park. Beautiful beach. One tiny thing wrong is that the campsites are very small but well maintained RV peak
