If you want quality alterations, Yana is your girl. I brought in my wedding dress after having it altered elsewhere and she really fixed it up.She also had it done in 2 days and returned it to me a week sooner than anticipated.I would recommend going to Yana if you have an important garment you need altered. She’s also super friendly and accommodating. Thanks Yana.

Went here to get an inch hem on a bridesmaid dress. Because it was last minute only place I could get in. On the slip she gave me , she wrote down $20 thought that was cheap and asked to clarify that that was correct, she said yea. Come back to pick up the dress and it was $120 , $134 after tax. I thought that was outrageous , I didn’t pay that for the dress itself . Said that’s the going rate. I just heard back from the other places I reached out to and they would of charged me $35 -$50 depending on the details Of the dress.Over priced and not the greatest service

I can say with confidence that Yana has been THE ONLY seamstress in Winnipeg I can trust with my alterations and fitting of suits and dress shirts. Not once have I been disappointed with the quality of work here. After Yana fixed the butchered hemming job I got done at another place I knew I found the one! :-) highly highly recommended!!

The way my clothes looks is a big deal for me, so I was worried that being abroad I won’t be able to find a place where I can get the level of the service I’m used to. Thanks god I googled this place, all personal was fantastic, Yana is energetic and positive, she altered my jeans exactly as I’ve seen how it in my head! It was nice to chat with her as well. Overall great experience!

Was able to walk in and get my winter jacket zipper replaced. Great price and service, was done in a couple of hours

My husband took a winter jacket to Yana to repair the zipper. The charge was considerable, but we paid the price rather than invest in a new winter coat. Less than a month after the repair, the new zipper broke. Clearly this was not a quality repair - a new zipper lasts more than a month! His old zipper lasted for YEARS. My husband took it back to Yana only to have her tell him he was too hard on the zipper and if he wants it replaced, he'd have to pay again.Way to treat a new customer Yana! We will NOT be back and we will be sure to share with our friends and neighbours that Yana does not stand by her own work.

Yana is an amazing seamstress! She has a vast knowledge of sewing! She has the expertise to follow your visions and create exactly what you want! She also knows when something can’t be done and will suggest another way that will be better and look a lot more professional! We have gone to Yana twice to create our visions for dance costumes for my daughter! Both time it has exceeded our expectations! My daughters costumes looks just has good as any professional dancer! Thank you Yana for helping us succeed in the costumes and we will definitely be back again for all our sewing needs!I have read some of these not so nice reviews on here about price and quality! First may I say the price that she charges is comparable if not better than anyone else’s! Her work is at a higher quality and more professional than most! For beads that fall off store bought dresses, that is to be expected! Dresses with beads that are factory made are all attached to each other and if you open a seam to take in or let out the beads are going to fall off! Buyer beware... so if you don’t buy a garment that fits properly and expect it to be repaired with no beads falling off then you don’t know anything about sewing or how garments are made at the factory level! In order to fix anything with beading etc it is going to cost money because it is very time consuming to do so! we have had lots of costumes that needed altering that had beads/rhinestones and most seamstresses in the city wouldn’t even take the job! None except Yana that we have found would work with fringe!Yana is a no nonsense person who is more interested in getting the job done then to make small talk with you! We appreciate her for her professionalism and her knowledge! You originally came to her to have a job done so get over it! She is a wonderful person who loves what she does and does it professionally!

Yana did some custom alterations to couple of my shotgun shooting vests. The work was superb resulting in perfect fit and extended life of these classic items. Good price and quick turnaround too!

I have quite a bit of clothes that I always like to get fitted. I have been taking all of my alterations to Yana and i have never had an issues with any of my alterations. Not once! I can truly say i can trust her with any piece of clothing I own. She is very pleasant to deal with and truly takes pride in her work.
