Very competent, engaged and friendly optometrist. She pulled out all the stops to diagnose an eye condition I was experiencing. Her staff was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for public transit. Very satisfied.

Dr. Lu's energy and passion for her work and her patients leaves a lasting impression. Just before the holidays, I had an eye problem that urgently needed to be tended to. Dr. Lu took me in last minute before I had to travel and prescribed a very effective treatment. Her staff is also wonderful and warm. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Having my eyes checked and choosing a new pair of sunglasses was a wonderful experience with Doris Lu and her team. She is thoughtful and thorough in checking my eyes and was able to really give me a better understanding on the health of my eyes. Her staff was so patient with me as I decided on a pair of sunglasses and not ever did I feel pressured to buy. I have been a patient of dr Lu's for years now and will continue to be.

I went to see Dr Lu about a year ago for a problem with my eyes. She did a thorough exam and referred me to a specialist for follow up. I then went back to buy glasses later and she and her staff were very helpful throughout the process. I have received lots of compliments on the frames. The glasses are expensive but I found she carries frames that didn't seem to be available elsewhere. Very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend.

Dr Lu has cared for our vision since my husband and I moved uptown several decades ago. she has always been professional, kind and taken time to explain everything thoroughly. A few years ago I started seeing another professional very close to where I work, but only saw her a few times. When I was diagnosed unexpectedly with glaucoma and offered no information about the prognosis, treatment etc I was terrified and called Dr Lu. She saw me immediately and was able to help me understand what I was facing and the treatment options currently available.She was very supportive and reassuring and helped me to cope with the situation. When my husband had a stroke which affected his vision she was also kind, supportive and an invaluable source of information. She is extremely professional , informed and cares about her patients.

Dr Doris Lu is one of the best optometrist's I've seen in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. I went for a severe pink eye and she tested me right away. Prescribed me the right anti biotics and within a day I was able to work again.The receptionist are also very friendly and caring. The building itself is also very beautiful inside.Also Dr Doris Lu does 2-3 followups if you have an eye disease, all for free.Worth the money!

It was my first time with Dr.Doris Lu, she was very efficient and informative.I went on my lunch break so I didn't have time to look at glasses but I went back another day and the staff helped me pick a pair of glasses that was right for me- I get compliments all the time! Very pleased.
