In October I wanted to adopt two cats from the shelter. I filled out two surveys and then there was silence, no one replied to my messages, my comments were deleted on the Facebook page, I received a private message that they only want to have nice and positive comments there. The cats are still at the shelter and they could have had a loving home for two months. It's sad and I really feel sorry for the cats that, as a result of people's decisions, have to stay there.

I don't like to do these but here we go. We got a cat from Shirley about a year ago. This cat was amazing, super loveable HOWEVER he constantly had urinary problems. Turns out, the cat HAS DIABETES. Shirley kept telling us how all the blood work and urine work was all fine and that he was just a little chunky, boy was she lying through her teeth. We now have to give our cat insulin shots twice a day and now puts a new financial strain on my fiance and I. Information about a cat's heath should ALWAYS be disclosed at the time of adoption, even the not so good things about the cat. This operation for sure knew this poor cat had diabetes. He was 7 years old at the time of adoption and was for sure dealing with these issues already. Shirley needs to step away from the adoption game because telling people that a cat is healthy when in fact their health is deteriorating is really unethical.

My one main reason why I love petsmart Argentia location is because this is where I adopted my 2 fur babies.. the adoption that’s they are partnered with PAWS AND TAILS ADOPTION.. it was Sharon who helped me and my kids find the right baby or should I say babies now and guided us through the entire process.. anyone who wants to help give the cats their furever home I 1000% would say do it at this location and look for Sharon she is amazing and will make sure your helping the right cat for your family and the fur baby..

Last April I went to PetSmart after the loss of my cat and spotted a shy cat in one of the cages. I wasn't sure if I was ready for a new cat so I went home. It only took a day before I couldn't wait anymore and went back, the shy little guy was still there.After a very pleasant chat with the lady that runs the shelter I agreed to adopt the cat. Now it is September, over a year later and I couldn't be happier with my experience.

I adopted my cat from Sharon at the PetSmart Argentia location, and she is wonderful! Very supportive, encouraging and understanding. She makes herself available for after adoption questions and is always there to help! Thank you to Paws and Tails Adoptions!!

After a less-than-stellar experience with another rescue, I found myself at the PetSmart at Heartland looking at the cats available for adoption, as Paws and Tails had been recommended to me by someone else.Shirley was very friendly and let me have a look at the cats. I didn't find any that I liked on my first try, but sure enough when I went back a few days later, I came across Lila, a sweet Calico who couldn't take her eyes off me.I was a bit set on getting a male cat given that is what I have virtually always had, but of course Shirley saw that Lila couldn't take her eyes off me and encouraged me to go in the back and interact with her up close, after which it appeared we were a good match. Shirley was able to convince me that female cats did have some advantages - and that Lila was a real cuddler that curls up at your feet every night. While my experience is that a male cat is probably the best choice for a family with young children, that was not me anymore, so it didn't matter as much, I learned that females are also often better at catching pests such as insects and mice. Shirley offered me a day to think about it, and, sure enough, after a few hours I decided to adopt.The adoption process was very straightforward, unlike virtually any other cat rescue I looked at, which had competitive, convoluted, intrusive, and dare I say adversarial processes. Shirley clearly wants things to be a good match, and assesses this in more practical ways, unlike the other rescues, which also seem to take a ton of applications for one animal. I took Lila home the day after I met her, and she is very comfortable in her forever home. She is a joy to have around, and while she hates visitors, she is extremely gentle. It is evident that she was meticulously house trained.Overall, I highly recommend Paws and Tails if you are looking for a cat.

Amazing people offering amazing service to clients while helping out animals who need help. I wish they were closer to me then thunder bay. I live in Brampton and I will be driving 14 plus hours to pickup my new member of our family. His name is Jack and we all have fallen in love with him at first glance.
