One star is too much.Long story short- worst customer service I have ever received. Zero empathy, zero consuderation, zero effort. It was so bad in fact that I filed a complaint with the head office and will close all accounts with scotiabank.I have been with BMO for 30 years and have no complaints. I recommend them.

Absolutely worst experience. I called to talk about a account they where charging overdraft on that I don't use so I called to try to figure out how to get rid of it. I called downtown Oshawa Ontario Scotia Bank and they costumer service was extremely rude and highly disrespectful. When he asked me a question and I didn't know what it meant and I asked he just repeated the same thing. I was confused and he started to give a bit of attitude on the phone completely unprofessional and I asked if I could speak to a manger I was confused and he wasn't being helpful he told me he didn't have to transfer me and I asked again and got hung up on great job PLUS had to wait on hold for 20 minutes for such respectful service""

Unacceptable. Once again, unable to make a withdrawal at this bank. The ATM shows withdrawal unavailable. How is it possible that I cannot withdraw my own money. If the roles were reverse you can guarantee that Scotiabank would be charging me fees.

Excellent customer service from this branch always all the teller members at the branch are awesome in ensuring outstanding customer service and loyalty to a great extent Definitely, this is the best Scotiabank branch in the GTA.

Do not use this branch.The teller I dealt with was twice was horrible. I want in looking to add to my TEP also had 2 new cards that I got in the mail. Instead of activating them for (she could have done it by phone) me she told me I had to go do it. Then I had to wait in line again just to be told by the same lady (Pam)That I'd have to make an appointment. She could have told me that the first time if she was listening to what I needed. Also the first available appointment is in 6 days.Worst banking experience ever.

Don't book an appointment through the call centre - not that you can ever get anyone from the branch when it's unsolicited business anyway. You end up showing up with all the docs that were requested via an automated email. But when I arrived, they started the process and then said they needed my spouse to complete the spousal RRSP request. Would have been simple to include this in the email confirmation. Between this nonsense and my HELOC not working properly, I'm taking my business elsewhere. This bank in general has effectively wasted several hours of my time.

If you are going to have temporary hours, please think of your customers and update your hours online. I have now made two needless trips (reminding you of the cost of gas) to discover the branch closed one day and then reduced hours posted the next.

On the surface, the service is decent. But take a deeper look, and you'll see that there is absolutely no interest in helping the customer. Long story short, I had one payment left on my car loan. The automatic payment wasn't deducted as it usually was over the last 8 years, and they told me I was delinquent in paying it. They charged me nsf fees and then told me after that my last payment wasn't actually my last payment. Had to dispute the matter. Ended up that they were wrong. They didn't apologize, didn't offer to refund the nsf fee... I had to demand those things. I am still waiting on a formal letter saying my car loan is paid in full and that it is officially now my property. They're a big scam. And then they have the balls to tell me I'm richer than I think??? No. Scotiabank is richer than we think. Because they steal from behind our backs, lie about it, blame us for it, and charge us for it. I'm done with this place. It's just a bunch of cheating, lying scammers in this place from the top down.

Dee and I (David) have done all of our banking, mortgage, investments etc for over 15 years at this branch and have always had great service. If others are experiencing problems that has not happened to us. I hope any customer service problems can be corrected as we would like everyone to be as satisfied as we are
