i worked for Mind Over Learning for about half a year and the staff already felt like family to me after just a month of working there. they truly care about every student and put their all in for every session, wether it’s the first or the last kid of the day.the company also definitely puts the time in to train their employees to be exceptional and we’re always happy and open to help me with my personal growth as a tutor and effective ways to teach the kids.Not to be biased; but i highly recommend Mind Over Learning to anyone looking for tutoring or a feel good job.

My experience with Mind over learning both personally and for my kid has been above expectation. The professionalism, attentiveness to detail and care shown has been great. The academic growth and improved confidence as a result from the tutoring strategies have been amazing.

Our son has been attending Mind Over Learning for over 1.5 years and we have seen great improvement with his reading skills over this time. The tutors are all wonderful and have strategies to re-direct my son when his attention wanders (which is often, as he has ASD and ADHD). They also provide detailed progress reports, so we know how our son is doing. I highly recommend Mind Over Learning!

Both my children attended Mind Over Learning and had a great experiences. The evaluations are well rounded and assess all their challenges. The staff are friendly, positive and accommodating. They are knowledgeable in children with diverse abilities and are able to motivate the most challenging child. They meet the child where they are at and encourage them to meet their goals.

My daughter hated school and really struggled with writing and math due to her various learning issues before she started with Mind Over Learning. She has progressed so much over the past year and a half. We have tried other tutoring programs and private tutoring before but there was little progress and our daughter was frustrated and hated going. She has enjoyed working with every tutor she has had at Mind Over Learning in both the language arts and math programs. Her whole attitude towards learning and school work has changed. I can't say enough good things about our experience and the amazing staff. They saved our daughters education and scholastic future.

My son used the service for almost 2 years and we found very minimal improvement. Most of the tutors were friendly and nice but at about $500/mo you'd like to see more gains made.

My daughter's grade 1 teacher identified a potential learning disability two months into our school year, and it was Mind Over Learning whom I quickly and thankfully found to support her. We did some intensive tutoring and I attribute her current success (grade 8) to the MOL team. What makes them different is that they figure out WHAT your child is struggling with, and break down the mechanics of language to help your child understand. This is child-centered instruction. We needed help. We tutored 2-3 times per week for five years. When things finally clicked, we found that we had unleashed a reader & writer. She is now heralded for her superior quality writing skills. When she attended middle school, it was our kid who knew how to tackle compositions. Her teacher asked me where her skills came from. Another year later, and we are once again being told that she has superior skills. I cannot imagine where we might be without the sometimes frustrating & daunting five years we spent with Mind Over Learning. We are incredibly grateful.

I was lucky enough to have found the Mind Over Learning Center for support during my time as an Okanagan College student. The Academic Strategies program was very impressive; I discovered my personal learning styles, how to overcome learning obstacles, and new study skills that I can utilize in my everyday life. With my disabilities, mental illness, and grief over losing a family member, I struggled to keep up with the other students in my classes. I was able to graduate from the Business Administration Diploma Program! I could not have graduated without the amazing, individualized learning support that Mind Over Learning gave me. Mind Over Learning is a wonderful tutoring centre, where the learning environment is always safe and the lessons are practical. I received help from one of the special consultants, and she was very patient and understanding with myself and my learning. I would recommend those who are struggling with school to go to Mind Over Learning!
