The customer service people are exceptionally nice and the concept is pretty cool! You head over to the kiosk, you’re quickly connected to an agent, and you provide ID/credit card/proof of insurance all via a Skype-type interface.You grab your paperwork and take the elevator all the way down to P3 to collect the key from the lock box, and you drive away. Because it’s all remote the hours are super convenient and it’s much cheaper.If you’ll be using your own insurance for collision/comprehensive, you’ll need the document with the explicit rental car clause handy. I recommend calling/emailing ahead to make sure you have the exact document they need. They’re INCREDIBLY fast/helpful over the phone and by email and if I had it with me, pick up would have taken no more than 10 minutes.There was a some confusion at pick up because of my insurance, so it took a bit longer, but they called the next day to make everything right- very impressed.My car was brand new, clean, the parking pass to exit was in the vehicle.I will say that unlike most budget rental companies, they seem dedicated to providing an excellent service experience. No hidden fees, or shady charges.

Honestly, this company deserves 0 stars. They have no sense of professional courtesy or customer service.I don't know if this company recently went through a management infrastructure change or what but their lackadaisical attitude is completely unacceptable.I made a reservation a month and a half before Thanksgiving weekend in Canada for an SUV.After reading through a few reviews, I was concerned as I found this company had cancelled reservations for customers with little to no notice.Concerned, I gave Globe Car a call 1 month prior to the appointment date. I was reassured continuously that because I had made my reservation so far in advance this would not happen.Additionally, the representative added that this only occurred in situations where vehicles were requested at the last minute.Fast forward to today, THREE days before my scheduled booking date where I receive an email being told that my booking has been cancelled:This is a courtesy email to inform you that there was an error in our system

I would give zero stars if I could, but the agents do deserve a star for trying to come through with a vehicle.This is the second time Globe has cancelled on me on the day of pick up of the car. (Out of three times mind you).The replacement car they gave us, had an engine warning light that did not go off, and could not be cleared by a mechanic (which we paid for). And they told us it was safe to drive from Toronto to Ottawa with it. Without anyone actually checking the vehicle. No way!Firm plans? Safe and stress free ride? I rarely leave reviews, however my experience with this company was awful. My reservation was cancelled at 6:30pm the night before my 10am pick-up with no explanation. The office closes at 7pm - they gave me almost no time to call for answers. Their reasoning was that they had no cars available - a rental car company with no rental cars and NO warning. This is something they would have known and could have shared in advance. They offered me no help, no guidance, no service whatsoever. All they said was we can try to book you for Monday instead". Completely useless. I would AVOID Globe Car at all costs."

I have rented from Globe on occasion a few times, and it has generally been hit or miss. Things have gone smoothly without issue for me maybe about half of the time.On one occasion, the kiosk staff was late 1-2 hours, and I had to go and find one of the car cleaning staff to flag someone down to check me in. Another incident from today, similar to the one-star reviews here, had a cancellation 40 minutes prior to my booking, despite being ordered 2 weeks in advance. If you're in downtown Toronto, then you know your only chance at a same day rental is most likely the airport.You certainly cannot deny that they have the lowest price point in Toronto. If you opt for them, just know that you get what you pay for. On their good days, it's been pretty smooth; just know that not every booking will be a good day.

This company is awesome!! I hope you guys open more locations (hopefully expand in Toronto as well). Great central location with a very efficient and user friendly process to get your car! Prices much better than enterprise, Avis, budget for the same class cars as well!!!

Was very disappointed. At first, the Manager and staff were courteous and assisted me. Upon returning the vehicle, there was an issue concerning a hold" on my credit card. That in of itself was not a significant issue

Awesome experience. I really enjoyed the technology integration.The customer service left nothing to be desired. Also, it helps that this is a more cost effective option than other car rental companies downtown.Edit:Just had to update this review! This place is awesome, the the staff and service are awesome, the car is awesome, everything is awesome!Car price is more than reasonable. It's the only place that groups 24 year Olds in the 25+ category. Don't think I'll be going back to the other guys anytime soon!

Competitive prices and new cars. Managers do read the comments on Google review and do care about reputation of the company. There were some issues with the information placed on the website, and gladly it was fixed as it was my major concern, regarding liability insurance. Manger did contacted me asap and resolved the issue. As the company super new in Ontario region, they are trying to align their operations, and hopefully i will rate them 5* soon enough as I do use this company a lot and i like it. Also if you do pick managers choice, you might get a big or very small car, so don't be upset as it's a surprise like; You are getting a good rate, but you will get what's left in stock. So if i want to be sure of the car size, I never choose manager's choice, otherwise I go for it!

“Not a reliable company”This is the first time I tried to reserve a car from this company which is not a good choice, I called the branch and made a reservation for 28days starting from 19th Dec the person over the phone was very good and she helped me with the process and sent email of confirmation of reservation. After few hours I received a call saying we are cancelling your reservation due to unavailability of the cars, but later when I checked online the cars are still available but at a higher price which is almost double the price.I am not 100% sure that they have cancelled my reservation because of increased price, what ever might be the reason they shouldn’t be cancelling my reservation. Since few years I am renting the car and if the type of car I reserved is not available they have given me free upgrade sometimes even to a premium car. Hope the company will increase its service in future.
