Ask for recycling rates and check your receipt. Friendly service but they aren't trustworthy to hold up their end.Service wasn’t as fast as a nearby recycler, but the people here were friendlier to less experienced recyclers like myself.I arrived an hour before closing. The person who greeted me was friendly. I was recycling hard drives and aluminum. The person called his boss to verify recycling rate for hard drives. Since he was on speakerphone, I heard the hard drive rate was $0.30/lb. Steel and hard drive mix rate was $0.19/lbs. Iron and aluminum rates I didn't hear because the person was familiar with these recycling rates.When I returned to the office, I checked the receipt and realized the person wrote $0.19/lbs on the receipt. Additionally, I noticed the items weights were adjusted. The scale read 359 lbs with my second batch of hard drives and the receipt listed this as 238 lbs (I was taking my own notes).This is not how we conduct business. I'm going back to Canada Iron And Metal where the rates and weights are printed on a computerized invoice.
