BMO Bank of Montreal

Every time i give thesw guys another chance they use it to steal money out of my acount with 0 trace and 0 explaination. First chace i have ill be cancelling. For my 2nd reveiew of this bank. I strongly advise you stay away.. again

Currently looking to move bank accounts and all investments to another banking institution. After 20 years of having mortgages with them,I finally had to go elsewhere 5 years ago as their service was horrible. Today after investing RESPs with them for around 20 years, they told me I can't get my $2300 tuition for our kid reimbursed until we go in and discuss our portfolio for future investments. I was like, so I can't get my money that is already sitting there until I go plan for future investments???? That is correct.

This bank deserves 0 stars. My mom was scammed and this bank said my mom was doing the fraud so they took her paycheck. She has proof she was scammed amd they didn't care. Will be talking to our lawyer and will be changing banks. You are discussing to side with the scammers.

Worst customer service won’t go back there ever

I can´t share the negative reviews here, especially the ones talking about bad customer service.Last month I went to BMO Kamloops because i had huge creditcard problems with my german bank while being on a roadtrip thru Canada. Even though I did´nt have an account at the BMO they really cared about my issue and moved rocks to help me out of my horrible situation. Huge shoutout to Maria and Barath for being extremely kind and caring.I will definitely stick with the BMO in the future and believe that you can trust the BMO Kamloops with anything concerning your money!

Got a new job was excited highest paying. But get paid by check. Bank Gave me and my family of 5, 15 percent of my own work check almost seemed racist. Looks like I can't work this week.

You would think that yesterday couldn't get any worse (Trump victory) but it did for me. My husband passed away two and a half weeks ago. The day before yesterday I went to his business bank, Bank of Montreal, Summit Shopping Center, to get his safety deposit box and a savings account where he had been putting away money for the basement renovations. He had given me the key and told me he put our wills, other documents and his wedding ring in there. He knew he was would be dying soon and put the ring in there so I wouldn't misplace it with all the confusion and emotion of his passing. The assistant manager refused to let me see the box let alone have it. She said she needed an original death certificate and his will. I said the will is in the box. That's too bad, we have our policies and procedures, she refused to let me see the box or tell me how much was in his savings account. I was in tears of anger and swore at her. She said if I was going to use foul language that I would have to leave and threatened to call security.Yesterday I went to our lawyer's office. She had his original will. I forgot that she had the original. She warned me that they may probate his will and if I had trouble they or I should call her. I had to get another death certificate because his insurance company needed the original and I had given it to our agent. I went back to the bank with these. This time I met with two assistant managers. After an hour of them meeting alone with the bank manager and leaving me alone with another bank employee they came in all smiles and said that the three of us would go and retrieve the safety deposit box and open it. We did that and they carefully went through every item. They carefully wrote down every item down on a form. There was nothing of significant value, a few American dollars that he kept for trips to the US, wedding ring, our passports, our birth certificates, and mementos. We then went back to the first assistant manager's office and they told me I couldn't have the contents of the box, they still refused to tell me how much was in his account and they were going to probate the will. They refused to talk to my lawyer. They said the only way they would speak to her would be if she was the executor of the will. I swore at them again. They told me to leave for being so rude.This is where it stands today. I am so angry I can barely stand it.

Avoid this branch at all cost. Tellers should be properly trained on their products. When I visited the branch first time, no one could explain the interest rate of saving account. Since I was planning on opening investment account, they booked an appointment following week to meet an adviser.The adviser was willing and trying her best to help my issue and explain my question, but lack of experience. She put my TFSA money into wrong investment account and my investment account was locked because she misspelled my temporary password.You will be visiting the branch multiple times to sort out your banking problem or talking to customer help line.
