This place was absolutely top notch towards my girlfriend and myself when we where there bringing our baby girl into this world. To the nurse that stayed by her side and went more than above and beyond, thank you can't begin to describe the Care we felt, more than just medically. The staff here are truly incredible people and deserve more than just a 5 star review. Also the spiritual Care manager is an absolute sweetheart and we were very blessed to have her kindness and prayers. Over all great hospital, very clean too I must say.

Most of the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful. It just seems that they are so short staffed. My mother waited in emerge for 18 hrs just after Christmas. That was her second trip there, she was sent home the day before. She was then admitted after that. They did thorough testing and was well cared for.

Wasn't busy. Got checked on for test quickly and efficiently. Workers were pleasant fast and helpful. Waited maybe 10 min to get checked in and prob same for test. Surprisingly quick. Sadly other parts of hosp not as efficient but xray testing/imaging area was well run and seemed appropriately staffed.

Have stayed as a patient and also had family at this hospital, Moncton and Saint John. By far, no comparison, DECH is the worst by far!!

Was there on the evening of Friday 15th July. They were busy but the staff were attentive to everyone and explained why there were long wait times. Due to the nature of our visit we were seen fairly quickly and my sons injuries were dealt with in a friendly and reassuring manner. We were in there for 5hrs this was to be expected due to the unpredictable nature of accidents and emergencies. THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF WHO WERE ON DUTY LAST NIGHT.

Great hospital that took great care of me while I went in when my embilical hernia decided to give me the worst time I've ever physically had. I was here and gone after x-ray and 2 doctor's visits and some great pain meds to make me comfortable in 3 hours tops. And everyone was so friendly and nice! Not bad for an unexpected out of province away from home emergency trip to the ER all things considered! Thanks to all the staff

Date: April 4th, 2023The nursing staff on the 4th floor SW don't seem to care about patients getting sleep - loud, rude, and unhelpful. My mother apologizes for getting sick and bothering the party at the nursing station.I made the mistake of asking what I could do with the half eaten tray of food left in the room - if I could move it to a rack or possibly leave it outside the room. This spawned such a bizarre non answer that I simply turned around and walked away. This reposne then made the staff irrate and accused this writer of being abusive and if it continues I would be asked to leave. Classy!!It's almost 1 am and Im recording the loud chatter at the nursing station that can be heard through a closed door - my mother wakes up repeatedly, asking who's talking outside her room.Enjoy the party you crazy professionals!!This is a review of the hospital and not the foundation. My mother is currently in hospital for a serious lung issue and is on the mend. The physicians appear to know their stuff and they pulled her through a complicated and rare illness brought on by a reaction to chemotherapy.I do have small complaints with what is known as Continuity of Care which extends from ICU to other wings and information that is passed on from specialists to attending physicians and then to nursing and other health care professionals attending to a patient. My mother encountered a couple of issues in this process that could have created a problem with her rehabilitation and if I wasn't there to inform staff if what she needs and doesn't need, she could have been in trouble. That being said, the social worker was helpful and opened the doors for contact with a patient advocate. Giving feedback to the advocate is important for the operation of the hospital and it's a way to make life easier for future patients and staff.I'm very grateful to the hospital staff who were, for the most part, very professional and friendly.
