It was an average experience. The ferry/bus goes really slow. I honestly thought something else but it was a ride in the canal at 10km/hr. But they do tell about ottawa's history if anyone is interested. I think it would be fun on a cloudy or rainy day - to be in the canal.

What a fun, affordable way to get around! Knowledgeable, friendly captains got where we were going (Ottawa Parliament to Gatineau at museum). Very dog-friendly.

We took this water taxi as a touring experience. Costed about 7 cad for a single ride. Tickets are to be used the same day itself, maybe they could change that.

One of Ottawa little hidden gems. A ride on the Ottawa river in a small pantoon style boat between the Navy Monument (Mill St. Restaurant) - Canadian Civilization Museum (Gatineau) - Rideau Canal (Le Chateau). Cost $5/person and its regular 20 minutes intervals.Ride is smooth, easy and gives you scenic view of Parliament Hill from the water. Well worth it.

The service was prompt and very enjoyable. Beautiful views of Ottawa and Gatineau from the river. I don't know how much a regular taxi is but we found the pricing very affordable, especially for the experience.
