Tusket Island Tours

Had a blast here despite the weather. The boat is big enought that even with choppy seas it was not bad. The captain did his all to make sure we got enough fish for a fry on the island. He's not a bad chef with the fish and chips even. Defiantly coming back again and sending others there way.

Highly recommend! Simon, owner and operator, was exceptionally knowledgeable and accomdating. His family has been in the fishing and lobster industry for generations. Highlight of our trip!!!

We went fishing for a day with our guide Calvin, we had so much fun. We even got to explore the islands a bit. Fishing was fun but the trip was made by our guide friendliness and will of adventure. I would go again and again if I didn't live 13h hours away. We made memories we will never forget. Thanks again to Calvin. Much love!

Wow what a day! We went fishing with Tusket Island Tours today! Our tour guide Calvin was exceptional. The kids loved every minute of our fishing expedition. We highly recommend this tour for any level of fishing expertise. This tour is an excellent family adventure! The smiles on the kids faces at the end of day says it all. We cant wait to go again!

Cannot say enough good things.Family is how we were treated.The weather was incredible though fishing season was not on our sides everything else was spectacular from the fresh fish dinner to the amazing live shanty and traditional folk songs sung by Simon and his excellent stories of the areas and families historyI'm definitely coming back.

Simon and Jimmy presented a fun and informative tour of the Tusket Islands history and lobster fishing industry. We got a run down on how the traps are hauled and a little info on the lobsters themselves. The tour is on a large wide lobster boat (pretty stable) and runs from Wedgeport around the islands with a short stop on one. You can even book a fish shack (nice cottage) and stay for a night or two. We enjoyed Simon’s seafood chowder, or you can request a head of time to have Râpe pie as an alternative. Simon sings and entertains on the return trip. Great people and a lovely bite into Nova Scotia life.

We took the tour with Simon on Lucien's big boat last week. We had such a blast, getting bluenosed, seeing Big Tusket, learning about lobster fishing and listening to some great music. It was so much fun, we brought my in-laws the following week and were treated to a tour on a smaller boat and got to visit the family shanty at French Point. Simon is an excellent host. 100% recommend booking. You won't regret it!!! Merci Simon!

My friends and I had the pleasure of fishing in the Atlantic ocean with the guidance of our captain, Calvin. As soon as we got to the first spot, we started catching a bunch of haddock and also had the chance to catch two mackeral at once! Unfortunately, the tide and wind came through and made it difficult to fish in further spots, but that is to be expected given the nature of nature! Calvin definitely is knowledgeable and wants to see you catch big fish! He also helped prepare our fish to take home which was really nice. We even had the chance to see the tuna competition weigh in which was a bonus, although it's totally dependent on the time and day. It was also really nice of the folks here to accept us the day before for some last minute fishing, so we are thankful for that! This was definitely a highlight to our vacation.
