Soon as I walked into this place I was greeted with friendly and educational titbits on the art within the store. I ended up purchasing this piece in the photo. Absolutely love it. And throughout the town you’ll find a lot of aboriginal art that seems to be very high price. Where this was fairly priced.

Beautiful store and inventory. The young woman who was the sales associate was VERY diligent in accompanying us through the entire store (we were there for at least 20 minutes). Initially, we thought this was so that she could share information on the items we were looking at but when others came in to the store, she still focused on us. After awhile, it felt very uncomfortable and we left. We drove all the way to Jasper to see the store (and mountains) but ended up leaving the store so that the other customers could benefit from her full attention. Some beautiful pieces involve the ammolite and a burled wood piece as well as most of the hand crafted items.

If you are after a unique souvenir or piece of First Nations art I highly recommend Our Native Land. Always a stop on my trips to Jasper.

I went to nearly every local gift shop and Our Native Land is inarguably the best one if you're looking for quality. It is the ONLY store in Jasper that has such an enormous inventory of Canadian-made (not Canadian-imported) products. 95% of the stores in Jasper ship stuff in from China and Taiwan to sell to tourists - but Our Native Land supplies things like Inuit stone carvings from Nunavut, hand-carved wooden masks from northern British Columbia, etc to sell to people who understand and appreciate culture.I have so much good stuff to say about this place I could go on forever! I love it there. I return every single time I stay in Jasper or even just drive through. To the management and staff: thank you very much for having pride in our Canadian culture and supporting it through your fantastic inventory. It is establishments like yours that make me feel at home even in Jasper, and proud of who I am as a Canadian.

The owner is a bit rude. When you enter the store he shoots: “where are you from” before any “hi”. And if one ignores, he keeps on asking again and again…Then followed us until we just left.

Great shop to explore real canadian culture, arts and craft. They have an amazing indigenous carving section and products made from real animal fur. The lady at that counter is super friendly and shared amazing information regarding the art pieces. Must check it out when visiting jasper!

The moment we stepped into the store till we left we were treated with interesting facts about all of the items in the store. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. This is not just another run of the mill souvenir shop.

Unprofessionally my post was deleted and not shared by this racist business. My mother and I were shopping for turquoise rings. The young woman who was helping us suddenly gasped and startled us. When we asked what happened she said oh I lost track of what you were touching, Hahhaha I m paying attention now. My mother and I both looked at each other, surprised by her boldness my mother showed both her hands and said these are all mine! The lady just laughed and said oh it’s ok I’m watching now. We had already overlooked her in sensitive comments about how we could make our own beaded earrings so the ones on display weren’t good enough for us? Sadly, I cannot bead so the assumption was silly to me and I laughed. Oh did I mention we are indigenous? I’m not easily offended but this was too much! For a store called “Our Native Land” it is not for us. So beware of insensitive remarks if you are also from OUR NATIVE LAND!

One of the more unique stores in Jasper, we went in here because my wife was curious about the quill art. It was fairly busy but our experience with staff was fantastic and there were a lot of unique and interesting souvenirs in the store. If you are tired of all the repetitive souvenir shops along the main drag, come here!
