Wizard's Loft
I’m really glad Red Deer has such a great board game shop/cafe. The owner and staff are consistently lovely, they’ve always been great with my kids and have made some really helpful game suggestions for them that have become family favourites. Excellent selection, competitive prices, clean welcoming space and a great cafe downstairs.

A lovely place to spend an afternoon or evening playing games and enjoying the café. Love their selection and staff are always very friendly and attentive. Shop upstairs has a host of table top games and collectibles, but mostly caters to Warhammer.

Ordered a game book from them, Everyday Heroes. Great book and I would recommend. It arrived quickly and was priced fairly compared to ordering online and I got to support a great local establishment. Great people and service. Recommend the caramel cookies and the cappuccino.

This place is a fantastic environment for not just playing games but casually hanging out with friends and good drinks. The staff are really friendly and fun to chat with also really knowledgeable on their product and games. The cafe serves great food and the shop itself goes above to help you out to find what you might be looking for! I’d always recommend people to come here when they can!

We went there to get a couple sets of dice. The two behind the counter that helped us were extremely informative. There are lots of drink and snack options while you are enjoying your games. They have tables both upstairs and downstairs for various events.

Staff are such incredible people and so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I were able to relax and play a board game while enjoying some snacks and lattes. The Cafe barista remembered us and knew what I liked to drink. They have such a wide collection of board games and other various games to choose from and are always very helpful and kind.

The atmosphere feels like someone’s home, but with a mega selection and great food! I loved playing Dragonflame, and I am going to tell my husband to buy it for my upcoming birthday. I truly appreciate the heart of the people who work here, run events, and keep this place going.

I love board games. So much so that my wife will often find board game cafes we can go to when we are on vacation. I'm not often in Red Deer long enough to stop in and peruse but I really enjoyed my time here. Pricing was reasonable. Staff was super friendly. The store was neat, organized, and clean. We tried a lot of new games and purchased one we enjoyed. I highly recommend this board game cafe to anyone and everyone.

The staff at the wizards loft are always fair and welcoming. Product prices are consistently competitive with other brick and mortars; even online retailers. A fun place to go with a welcoming community. A real blessing to have in downtown Red Deer.
