VC Cuevas bakery
VC Cuevas is a small, artisan bakery that produces solid staples. I tried the fresh, hot pandesal and it was exactly as it should be. Slightly sweet, fluffy as a pillow, and for a reasonable price. The only complaint one might have is the lack of hospitality and feeling that one should get in, get their bread, and get out. No nonsense, no leisure. Although I didn't try their more creative offerings, I will likely return.

I noticed this place has fresh Filipino food but there is no kitchen in which to cook it in. Just the bakery.So the food must be prepared elsewhere which is obviously a Health infraction in Winnipeg.Do the person/persons preparing this food have a Vendor licence and a Food Handlers Certificate?

VC Cuevas has one of the best pandesal in Winnipeg. They have a variety of bread and ulam which I will say super delicious! A one stop shop for somebody hungry! Plus a bonus of super friendly staff!

pandesal stays fluffy longer just put it in airtight container. Don't buy turon too sweet and hard to chew.

I did not get a proper answer from the lady at the cash register on Sept 11. My pre-order for turon was not held. I called at noon, and pick-up was 6:30PM. I was early too. Update your hours if you don't serve 30 minutes before closing.I expected the food to be there and not be told that it was given out.I just wasted my time. I'd give zero stars if I could.
