Purely Optometry

Before I left my last eye doc who could never seem to get my contact lens prescriptions right, I asked my friends who was a great eye doc in Victoria? Most of them said Doctor Poon and Purely Optometry! I am so very happy that I found him! For the first time ever, after trying about 20 different contact lens prescriptions for my bifocal needs, he brought me to 20/20 vision with contacts. He has a super camera that can see signs of impending issues like thinning retina areas, gave me tests I have never had anywhere else and takes the time to explain what they mean and what to watch for. The staff here are extremely professional and I am impressed with the fact that he runs this office as a teaching academy as well for intern optometrists. Excellent optometry experience. Best I have had.

Dr. Poon has been my eye Dr. for approx. 9 years now. He is 'on point' in regard to excellent eye care. He is extremely polite, warm and very thorough. His staff are very good too. I would have no problem referring him to anyone, and actually have.

Dr. Poon has been our family's optometrist forever. He is great with kids and is incredibly hardworking and knowledgeable in his field. We also like the fact that he tries to have the latest testing equipment for his patients. Would recommend him every time!

I have been seeing Dr. Poon for quite a few years. He is very knowledgeable and personable. He is one of the best in the city according to the specialist I saw. Two years ago, he diagnosed my narrowing angles glaucoma, which can instantly cause blindness. He referred me to a specialist who told me to thank Dr. Poon for saving my eyesight. I will not go to anyone else now.Also, staff at the office are very nice and professional.Thanks to everyone in the office.

I saw Dr. Dhillon and she was an hour late for my initial appointment and I wasn't impressed. She was not very thorough and seemed stressed. I felt rushed out of my appointment. I had to follow up with her multiple times as I was still having problems seeing and always waited at least 20 mins past scheduled time. She didn't have any real definitive answers and she seemed to be guessing and didn't seem very knowledgeable. I had to see another doctor and finally got answers in ONE visit to the issues I was having with my vision. Unfortunately, I do not recommend her.

I recently saw Dr. Dhillon for an issue with double vision, which made it so I could not drive anymore and needed time off work. She explained what was causing the double vision in terms that I could understand and prescribed new glasses with prisms. The glasses have given me my life back!!! Thank you so so much!
