The Nautical Luxury Suites at Summerside

Although the units may be nice, the walls and floors are paper thin. I have been here for almost 2 years and have had many problems with noisy dog owners and ignorant neighbors. This wouldn't be a problem if the new management did something about it. But for them to act, they require you to spend hours videotaping the noise that they already have on file from other noise complaints. Not mentioning the multiple break ins this month, this management company is only reactive, never proactive. When you try to express your frustration, you get a long winded email of excuses telling you that you are no better, well guess what, I'm not paid to be here, I pay to be here. Do better Killim. They just don't care about you, only your money. I miss the old management, save yourself and find somewhere peaceful.

I spent a year at “the nautical luxury suites at summer side” , I would regard it as the best place that I have experienced so far in Edmonton. During my stay there I enjoyed facilities like underground heated parking, free access to summer side beach, 24 hours free car wash, gym, easy access to nearby lakes etc. Apart from that the management team headed by Ms Crisprina had been professionally sound and ready to help you 24/7.I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for apartments in South Edmonton.

Absolutely terrible experience here. We decided to rent at Killam when we moved to the city while searching for a place to buy.The first main issue is in regards to safety. There have been two break-ins in the underground parking in the last month alone. Multiple vehicles (including ours) were broken into as well as multiple storage units. The front gate of the building was broken since the day we moved in, and it was only fixed after the break in. Even after the break ins happened, they decided to raise our underground parking and storage to $150 a month.They will also try to add extra fees to your lease wherever possible (for example: a $35/month “Lake fee” and a “Premium charge” of $100/month that doesn’t seem to have an explanation). We decided to leave when our monthly charges went from $1,450 to just under $1,900 with all the extra fees for a two bedroom apartment.I have also had multiple issues with the management here, mainly due to their lack of understanding of the residential tenancies act. If it weren’t for the fact that I am a landlord myself and understand tenant’s rights, they would have easily taken advantage of us. I’ve had to correct their property manager multiple times regarding the terms of our lease. This is not a responsibility that should land on the tenant and I would have hoped that a place that calls themselves “Luxury” would at least hire staff that is educated or trained on the most basic aspects of the RTA.

I loved living at The Nautical Suites. Moved because of work. I am a single women and I have always felt safe. I love the lake in the summer. My vehicle always stayed clean with the car wash. The gym was great for when I just wanted to roll out of bed and workout without traveling to the gym. Management is great! Never had a problem. All My neighbours are friendly. 5 stars ⭐️

Expect your time here to be short. They may lure you in with a promotion to sign a 1 year lease but after your lease is up be prepared to be extorted for $100’s more to re-sign with them. Rent, parking, storage, lake and pet fees all are fair game when looking for ways to pocket more of your money. They will bank on you being too stressed and settled in to move after only one year. If you’re foolish enough to accept their terms, don’t be surprised when they pull the same thing a year later.Calling their suites luxury is a big stretch. Be prepared to have a non-stop party every night. Not by choice, but because your neighbours enjoy blasting heavy bass through the paper thin walls.The good news is once you have finally had enough it is easy to escape. Their gate into the residence is always broken and left open for the multiple thefts that residents have now experienced this last month. This is the final eyesore you will have to see before leaving this place for good!

We love living here! We haven't rented in a very long time but after moving back to Edmonton we decided to rent instead of buy to make sure we liked the area. Benny is the best! He's so good at making you feel like a friend immediately. For a rental, they do a lot to make sure you feel like you are part of a community. Halloween candy, Christmas decorations, contests, etc. And, our suite is a perfect fit our family. It's quiet, clean, and great amenities. We honestly couldn't ask for a better place to live.

Cost to live here has become absurd for what you get; 14% increase in rent cost alone from 2022. Walls are very thin! And to put the cherry on top, an increase in theft on the property as of recently.

Been there for a year now. One of the best places we have lived. Super convenient location close to so much. The lake access is something else. Makes living there feel like you're on vacation.The management team is great. Very helpful and responsive to helping get issues sorted out quickly.

Really unpleasant experience living in this Aprtment with all the Noises through paper thin walls and hallway floor boards creek and Neighbors blasting footsteps at nights and stomping around wouldn’t let you sleep. Had few break-ins last few weeks and not an ideal place to live what you pay for. The money you pay for this so called Luxury Apartments, you can find much better place to rent. So agin don’t stuck here like I do. if you are reading this comment think twice before rent here.

We started looking for an apartment back in the summer and fell in love with this property the moment we saw it. The property is great, underground parking with a free car wash, stainless steel appliances, big balconies, nicely laid out suites, lots of trails all around to walk, and it's close enough to all the shopping you'd need. Not to mention, the staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. Benny is the best!! From the moment we met him, he felt like an instant friend. He genuinely cares and wants to make sure that you are happy and feel like you've found a home.
