Sewing company

I contacted Tatiana in March to design and create my wedding gown. She was warm and friendly, but also completely professional. Her atelier is beautiful and charming. I immediately felt comfortable explaining the design I envisioned. She took comprehensive measurements, and gave me an estimated time frame: two to four weeks. She advised me on the type of fabric, and best shape for my body type. She created her own pattern, from the photo I provided. I met with her each week for fittings. She was open to my suggestions, and is very detailed and precise in the cut and fit. My finished gown fit me perfectly, and I received so many compliments. I feel so fortunate to know of this excellent seamstress, with such a high level of experience and skill. I plan to commission many more garments from her, and I recommend her highly. An excellent expert seamstress.

Great teacher. My wife and I took an introductory sewing lesson and had a great time. Clear, concise instructions, fully packed lesson. Really prepared us to come home and start using our machines.

I had a broken head stall that my horse stepped on, she fixed it no problem and for a very reasonable price!

Carly was absolutely amazing! She altered my wedding dress that I wasn't sure was ever going to fit me right. I wasn't sure what I wanted or what I wanted it to look like. Carly came up with some amazing ideas and executed them flawlessly! She worked with me through every single step of the way and knew exactly what to do. From finding the right materials, to sending photo updates of the dress, to coming over and explaining everything. She even gave me extra day-of items to use for my dress that I would have had to order online. Carly truly is the best at what she does and I will continue to use her for any alterations I need in the future! I highly recommend her!

Beautiful fabrics in a beautiful spot. Darrell is one of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met, and he has helped guide me as a new sewer. The designer fabrics, the buttons and the sewing notions are all top quality. I always feel like I’m leaving a friend’s house after a visit to Darrell Thomas Textiles.

Working with Katalin has been an absolutely wonderful experience.When you walk into her inviting studio (which she designed herself), you feel at home. She’s done an incredible job altering my wedding dress, and I’m so excited to see the custom jewellery she’s designing for each of my bridesmaids. Katalin has a one-of-a-kind personality. She’s very approachable and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I would highly recommend working with Katalin for whatever project you have; be it alteration, custom jewellery, or interior design.

The absolute BEST tailors in Victoria! I came to them 24 hours at the last minute before a big event needing a dress altered as a previous tailor I had taken it to had done a horrible job. I have never been to this location, however, I was at Macphee workshop north of Belleville, about 28 years ago. A great experience. Was wondering if this location is still there? I believe it was in Frankfurt, ON?
