Got a crush on this park. Luxurious nature and almost perfect seclusion. I'm only sorry it didn't occur to me to take some pictures of the landscape I would make it my favourite weekend place. Note: If you live downtown, you'll need a car.

A great facility that has been put to great use all summer. It is not uncommon to find 4 or more groups of soccer players sharing the main field during the late afternoon. The same can be said of the basketball court. The field and basketball court are floodlit until 11 PM.The field has good drainage so even after a heavy rain, it is usually ready for use. The track is not 400m in length but somewhere between 335 and 350m. The main issue with the track is that people use it not just for running but for just about anything you can think of.On any given day on the track, you may find people walking slowly, jogging, riding regular and electric bicycles, kids on tricycles, people roller blading and roller skating, pushing babies in strollers, running with their dog on a lease, senior citizens with strollers etc. Late in the afternoon, it can seem like an accident waiting to happen. There is a concrete strip on the outside of the entire track. For everyone's safety, slower traffic should probably use that instead and bicycles should stay off the track; at least when it is in use by joggers. The relevant authority should make spot checks to remind people about the rules of the facility. There are signs that say, among other things, no pets, no bicycles, no animals etc but those instructions are largely ignored

Only reason it's not 5/5 is the locals that swear they own the place and can walk into the middle of an organized game... Fantastic facility though.

One of the best soccer pitches- great nighttime lighting, lots of room for spectators to sit. A good quality track to walk or jog around. There's also a hockey rink and basketball courts. A well designed athletic area!

Regent park is a full sized soccer field with a turf surface. I have played here several times and it is a very nice field, even on a busy Saturday morning. There will usually be several teams that are playing perpendicularly to the field, so it usually accommodates about 3 large groups of people. There is also a 400m running (or walking) track.
